Let your musical lights shine, singers! - The outstanding BC Jazz Combo will provide entertainment for the social hour -- David Vazquez is a 2008 BC alumnus and Student Body President; a Vanguard University 2012 Graduate, who served two terms as the Student Body President (’11 & ’12). David majored in Political Science, interning in Washington, DC, on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. He has also worked in Sacramento, in the state-level political scene. He, and his lovely wife, Ali, are back in OC, where David works at Vanguard University, continuing to interface at the highest levels of government for the university. David will share some of “his story”, and give insights into the current, intriguing political world. You won’t want to miss this! -- Members of the amazing BC Choir will delight us with songs from their recent concert -- The Silent Auction will be conducted by cell phone or tablet again this year -- We will have a professional auctioneer for the Live Auction -- Tickets are on sale now for $75 each. Purchase by check or cash, or by credit card at the “Donate” tab on the home page. On Friday, March 18, BC’s Concert and Chamber Choirs sang in the Command Performance, a notable honor, at the ACSI Musicale at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena. In March, area Christian school choirs spend a Thursday and Friday together singing, performing, learning, and being adjudicated. This year’s adjudicator and guest conductor was Dr. Galen Clark. Claire Alkire was also selected as a featured soloist in one of the mass choir pieces. Missed their ACSI Command Performance? Another opportunity is just around the corner on April 22 at Huntington Beach Baptist Church at 7:00pm. Come & Enjoy their Spring Concert! And it’s Free!

The PFC offers a special “Celebration in a Box” package. You can celebrate any event you like…braces off, an “A” on a test, passing the driver’s license exam, birthday…whatever! $40 will provide for a decorated locker door complete with balloons, a “Happy Birthday (name)” or “Congratulations” sign on the main bulletin board in the mall and a dozen cupcakes to share with friends at lunch. SAVE YOUR BOXTOPS for EDUCATION!
Save your Boxtops for Education. They are on food and paper good items, including Avery stationary products (like notebooks for school). A “Boxtop Baggie” is available on the cereal box on the front desk for ease in collecting them. Be sure to pick up one for you…and your family, friends and neighbors. They will be happy to save them for you! You all have been doing an incredible job…the cereal box was full to overflowing already this year!! Next submission is in April. Thank you to all who faithfully participate and to Mrs. Navarro who coordinates this program for us!
Thank you for the donations of Kuerig cups! Several
families have been very generous this month. But alas….as with all consumable products, the supply requires constant refilling. Your PFC provides a steady supply each month, but not enough to meet the demand. We give an hour volunteer credit for each 14-18 count box, the big box from Costco earns 4 hours!! The Staff says “thank you”!!!!
