I hope youre all doing well today. The big news around here right now is the Bible Bowl competition that we are hosting next week! Along those same lines, two weeks aſter Bible Bowl, we are going to have a big celebration for all the teams (and anyone else who would like to join in) at our annual Bible Bowl BowlBOOM!!!Its at Coopers Bowling on Saturday, March 20 th , at 2pmPlease sign up in the foyer! Lastly, (but most definitely not least) we need to all be praying for our dear friends Alexis and Parker Stiger and their family as they had to say a very hard goodbye to their mommy this past week since she went to be with Jesus. It is always difficult to say goodbye to someone you love, especially someone so close to you, but God has given His promise that we can all have the hope of eternal life with Him! We dont have to say goodbye forever; its just until we meet againand the Lord will be right here with us every step of the way to guide us, comfort us, and give us peace as only He can. Please be praying daily this week for our teams and all those traveling here for Bible Bowl!

GOD’S WORD! Have you ever noticed the metaphors that are used to describe the Bible? It is our spiritual food & drink (Duet. 8:3). It is both milk & meat (Heb. 5:12-14). It is a mirror (Jam. 1:23-24). It shows us how God sees us, revealing who we really are. The Bible is “a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path” (Ps. 119:105). It lights up our way in a dark and sinful world. The Bible is like a seed (Lk. 8:11).When planted in the good soil of a receptive heart, it bears much fruit. The Word of God is like a sword that divides between soul and spirit, joints and marrow and it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Heb. 4:12). The Bible is without error. It can stand alone, with no need for supportive evidence. The Bible is sufficient for all ages and times, and it provides everything needed for salvation and godliness. Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 3:17, “So that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” The Bible is the Holy Spirit’s primary tool for changing lives. No one cane expect to have a close walk with God, if he or she neglects to spend time daily with God in His Word! -Matt
