First impressions of Galaxy I are of lovely lines, polished timbers and chrome. Interior highlights are of rich textures and materials intended to accompany features that have been specifically designed to embrace the environment of the Tropical North.

All interior areas are air conditioned and the rear saloon deck can be enclosed for air conditioning as well. Flat screen televisions with satellite coverage, DVD players with a full library and a surround sound stereo system ensure that creature comforts are never far away. Wireless internet is also available for guests wishing to

stay in touch with the outside world.

Dining aboard Galaxy I is an experience in itself. With two designated dining areas and casual seating on both the forward and upper decks, Galaxy I is perfect for revelling in the climate that makes this area one of the most desirable to visit in all of Australia.

Comfortably sleeping 6 passengers, the staterooms of Galaxy I continue the attention to detail seen right through the entire vessel. The master stateroom boasts a king size bed with marble ensuite. Port Douglas provides direct access to the world’s largest marine park – The Great Barrier Reef. Extending over 2300km from the tip of Cape York to the Central Queensland Coast, it is made up of 2900 individual reefs and 71 coral islands.

Looking from Galaxy I’s decks towards land, nature’s splendour is on display with the World Heritage listed rainforests of North Queensland, the oldest continuing rainforest on Earth.

Low Isles Itinerary (Full Day)

Depart 9:00am Return 4:30pm Maximum Passengers 12

Journey to one of the jewels of the Great Barrier Reef,

the enchanting coral cay island of Low Isles, just 1 hour

from Port Douglas. Fringing coral reefs, sandy beaches

and tropical rainforest combine to offer a very relaxing

experience. Relax aboard Galaxy I as the crew serves

lunch or take a leisurely stroll around Low Isles. No trip

to the Great Barrier Reef is complete without seeing the

kaleidoscope of colour below the water’s surface and

Galaxy I’s crew is on hand to ensure that this adventure

will be one to savour.

Outer Reef Itinerary (Full Day)

Depart 8:15am Return 5:30pm Maximum Passengers 12

Galaxy I’s Outer Reef itinerary is an experience

that will not be forgotten. Boarding early morning,

Galaxy I cruises for approximately 2 hours to a

specially selected location on the outer ribbon reefs.

Typically the visibility is excellent, the marine life

abundant and the coral amazing as you immerse

yourself into this extraordinary natural wonder.

Guests are also encouraged to utilize Galaxy I’s

spacious decks, and to relax and enjoy all that Galaxy I

has to offer. Lunch is served by Galaxy I’s onboard chef.

Day One (L,D)

Leaving Port Douglas you and your guests will cruise to the mouth of the mighty Daintree River. You will be met by an experienced tour operator who will take passengers on a ½ day tour into the ancient rainforests of the Daintree. Arriving back on Galaxy I, sunset drinks are served as you relax at your sheltered overnight anchorage.

Day Two (B,L,D)

Awake to the solitude of a Great Barrier Reef morning. Breakfast is served alfresco on the saloon deck as Galaxy I begins cruising to the Outer Barrier Reef. The reef is yours to enjoy

as Galaxy I’s experienced crew help you to encounter this wonderful natural spectacle. At the end of the day, drinks and canapés are served as you enjoy a sunset like no other before sitting down to dinner tailored to your specific tastes.

Day Three (B)

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as Galaxy I begins the cruise home. The last stop on the journey is the spectacular coral cay of Low Isles which is home to an abundance of marine life. Indulge in a final swim on the Great Barrier Reef, before the marina of Port Douglas beckons and Galaxy I berths mid afternoon.

Day One (D)

Leaving Port Douglas mid afternoon, you will cruise to the stunning Undine Sand Cay. There is time for a quick snorkel before drinks and canapés are offered, watching the sunset over the Great Barrier Reef. Dinner is served before Galaxy I departs for an overnight cruise to its next anchorage.

Day Two (B,L,D)

Awake to the gentle dawn light of North Queensland’s sunrise. Breakfast is served alfresco on the saloon deck as you look forward to the day’s activities on the ribbon reefs of the Great Barrier Reef. The reef is yours to enjoy as Galaxy I’s experienced crew help you to encounter this wonderful natural spectacle. Snorkelling and exploring on Galaxy I’s wave runner and sea kayaks are just some of the activities available before sitting down for lunch. By prior arrangement a dive instructor can take you diving on the Great Barrier Reef. At the end of the day, drinks and canapés are served as you look forward to a culinary event by Galaxy I’s onboard chef. Galaxy I will then cruise through the night to its next location.

Day Three (B,L,D)

Another day of exploration on the Great Barrier Reef as Galaxy I cruises closer to Lizard Island. A different diving and snorkelling location offers new opportunities to enjoy the kaleidoscope of colour that is the underwater wonder of the Great Barrier Reef. You may wish to just relax with full wireless internet and satellite TV available. All meals will be served onboard as you enjoy your final night on Galaxy I.

Day Four (B)

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as Galaxy I arrives at Lizard Island. Indulge in a final swim on the Great Barrier Reef, before the crew of Galaxy I take you ashore for your stay at Lizard Island Resort or return air transfer back to Cairns. (Stays at Lizard Island and air transfers are not included in charter quotes.)

NB: To maximise time on the Great Barrier Reef, the majority of cruising is done at night time while guests are sleeping.

Nick has over 20 years marine experience, 12 of those spent working as Chief Engineer on some of the world’s most prestigious and technologically advanced superyachts.

Nick has undertaken the arduous trans-atlantic and trans-pacific sea routes on numerous occasions. He is also experienced cruising the Mediterranean, the East Coast of the USA, the Caribbean and the South Pacific. His wide-ranging experience and skill make him an excellent Captain and Engineer, and have earned him respect in the industry.

Safety and security whilst on board is assured, with a crew superbly trained and boasting experiences from the oceans of the world. Galaxy I is fitted with the latest navigation and communications technology and is thoroughly equipped for safely cruising the waters of the Great Barrier Reef.
