The Cantril Self-Anchoring Striving Scale*
Please imagine a ladder with steps numbered from 0 at the bottom to 10 at the top. The top of the ladder represents the best possible life for you and the bottom of the ladder represents the worst possible life for you.

Good Jobs and Wellbeing
The best prospects for quality job creation are small to medium-
sized enterprises.
They are generally led by people who are self-employed by
choice, rather than out of necessity.
Each time they succeed by getting more customers and more
revenue, these entrepreneurs hire more people.
Leaders who create policies that help these opportunity-driven
entrepreneurs to thrive and create new jobs will increase the
amount of people in their cities, states, and countries who are
employed by an employer.
These types of jobs lead to higher wellbeing and a more
productive society.
