2015 NC State Wolfpack Football GAME 3: OLD DOMINION MONARCHS Sept. 19 • Norfolk, Va. • Foreman Field at Ballard Stadium (20,118) • ASN • 7 p.m. GAME NOTES HIT THE ROAD, PACK After opening the season with two resounding home victories, the Wolfpack will be on the road for the next two Saturdays - travelling to Norfolk to face Old Dominion on Saturday and then heading south to Mobile to play South Alabama on Sept. 26. The Wolfpack has won its last three games away from Carter-Finley Stadium, defeating Central Florida (34-27) in the Bitcoin Bowl, stomping UNC (35-7) in Chapel Hill and winning at Syracuse (24-17). BRILLIANT BRISSETT Senior quarterback Jacoby Brissett has been exceptional in the first two games of 2015. He’s currently leading the nation in completion per- centage with a blazing .844 mark (a mark that would stand at .911 if not for three drops last week). In his 14 career games, Brissett has posted a 62.4 completion mark, the second best career mark in school history. His 2015 passing effi- ciency mark of 183.4 ranks 12th in the FBS and his career mark of 141.72 is also the second best mark ever for a Wolfpack QB. Brissett, a preseason candidate for the Manning, O’Brien and Unitas Awards, opened his senior campaign against Troy by completing 12 straight passes before an incompletion and posted a .913 completion mark. The last time a Wolfpack player posted a percentage as high was Terry Jordan vs. UNC in 1992 (23-25, .920). BALANCING ACT, SEASON 2 NC State field the most balance offense in the FBS last season, rushing for 204.5 yards per game and gaining 204.0 passing yards per contest. With 5,311 yards of total offense, the difference between the rush and the pass was just seven yards (2,659 rushing, 2,652 passing). GAME NOTESHIT THE ROAD, PACKAfter opening the season with two resounding home victories, the Wolfpack will be on the road for the next two Saturdays - travelling to Norfolk to face Old Dominion on Saturday and then heading south to Mobile to play South Alabama on Sept.

He’s currently leading the nation in completion per-centage with a blazing .844 mark (a mark that would stand at .911 if not for three drops last week).

Brissett, a preseason candidate for the Manning, O’Brien and Unitas Awards, opened his senior campaign against Troy by completing 12 straight passes before an incompletion and

Page 3: GAME 3: OLD DOMINION MONARCHS...in Dave Doeren’s Wolfpack tenure that the Pack posted a 40+-minute time of possession. In his first game as head coach for the Pack, his offense held

(since a 43:07 ToP in an OT win at Miami in 2007). That game marked the second in Dave Doeren’s Wolfpack tenure that the Pack posted a 40+-minute time of possession. In his first game as head coach for the Pack, his offense held the ball 40:45 vs. La Tech (2013).

The Pack repeated the feat last week against Eastern Kentucky, as the offense was on the field 40:04.

Before Doeren’s arrival in Raleigh, the Pack had only held the ball more than 40 minutes twice in 235 games (2007 vs. Miami and 40:26 vs. FSU in 2002) dating back to the 2007 season. Since Doeren’s arrival, it’s happened three times in 27 games.

The last two games mark the first time since time of possession was kept for every game starting in 1981 that NC State has posted back-to-back 40+ minute ToP.

HAPPY DAYESRunning back Matt Dayes has had a stellar start to his junior campaign, posting back-to-back 100+ yard rushing games and scoring five touchdowns. He is cur-rently is tied for the ACC lead and fifth in the FBS in scoring.

In the opener, Dayes rushed for a career best 126 yards and led the Wolfpack in rushing and receiving (5-65). He ranks second in the ACC and 15th nationally with 151.5 all-purpose yards per game.

Dayes has rushed for 242 yards in first two games of 2015. That total is the most for a Pack player in the first two games of the season since Joe McIntosh did it in 1983 - more than a decade before Dayes was born!

Last season, Dayes was one of just three players nationally with more than 300 yards rushing, receiving and in returns (Jamal Morrow of Washington St. & Tem-ple’s Jahad Thomas were the others).

He was the ONLY player nationally to reach those marks and also boast five or more touchdowns rushing and receiving in 2014.

Dayes led the Wolfpack with both 1,278 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns and won team Offensive MVP honors in 2014.

BRISSETT STREAKING (AGAIN!)Jacoby Brissett threw 187 passes without being picked off in 2014 - the sev-enth-longest streak in ACC history. He currently has another streak going, as he has not thrown an interception in his last 129 attempts, over 22 quarters, dating back to the Georgia Tech game on Nov. 8, 2014 (the Wolfpack’s last loss). In the five games games since, he’s thrown for eight touchdowns.

Last season, of Brissett’s paltry five picks, only one came in a road game. He posted 122 attempts in true road games, 148 attempts including the bowl game.

Here’s a look at the current streaks in the FBS:

Quarterback School Attempts QuartersSkyler Howard West Virginia 161 18Brandon Silvers Troy 155 29Mitch Leidner Minnesota 153 20Dak Prescott Mississippi State 139 11Jacoby Brissett NC State 129 22Luke Falk Washington State 127 9

BE WARY OF CHERRYIn the postgame locker room following Saturday’s home win over Eastern Ken-tucky, head coach Dave Doeren praised junior wide receiver/treturn specialist Bra’Lon Cherry on his improved play. Cherry is currently the ACC leader in punt return average (21.4).

The junior returned four punts for 74 yards in the win over EKU. He would have

been the first Wolfpack player to go over the 100-yard mark on punt returns since 2004 if not for a somewhat questionable block in the back call).

Although Cherry’s punt return numbers might not seem significant at first glance, look at it this way: Against EKU, Cherry was 4-74 on punt returns. During the entire 2014 season, the Wolfpack as a team posted just 62 punt return yards on 17 attempts!

STAY FIRST-YNot only does defensive coor-dinator Dave Huxtable bear a striking resemblance to the ‘most interesting man in the world,’ but his defense is making sure that opponents stay thirsty for first downs.

The Wolfpack currently ranks seventh nationallly in third down

conversion defense, allowing opponents to convert at just a .143 rate (3-21). The Pack defense also held tough on the one fourth-down attempt against it this sea-son.

TOUCHDOWN BROWNEHeading into the 2015 campaign, tight end Benson Browne had more degrees (two) than career catches (none). The graduate student, who has earned under-graduate degrees in psychology and communication, has even things out in the first two games, however.

Browne recorded his first career reception in the third quarter of the opener - a seven-yarder on first down. His second career catch was in that same drive, when he caught a one-yard touchdown pass.

He only had one catch in the win over Eastern Kentucky - a 5-yarder - but it, too, was for a TD.

EARLY ACTIONNC State played the second-highest number freshmen of any school in the FBS in the first weekend of 2015, as a total of 23 rookies (10 true and 13 redshirt) saw action in the win over Troy (the Pack is tied for 2nd with Florida State, which also played 23 freshmen). During Doeren’s tenure with the Wolfpack, 34 true freshmen have played, and that action hasn’t just been as role players or on special teams.

In 2013, 11 true freshmen com-bined to start 18 games. In 2014, 13 true freshmen com-bined to make 32 starts. This season, three true freshmen (WR Nyheim Hines, punter A.J. Cole and placekicker Kyle Bam-bard) have gotten the nod. That 55 total starts by true freshmen in the last 27 games!

63% of the players who have seen action for NC State this season are freshmen and soph-omores.

PENALTIESThe Wolfpack was close to perfect when it came to penalties in the season opener, drawing just one yellow flag for the game.

That marked the fewest penalties for the Wolfpack in a season opener since the 1989 opener vs. Maryland (a 10-6 NC State win). It was the lowest in a game since the 2009 Duke contest, when State had no penalties.

The game marked the fifth time in the Dave Doeren era that the Wolfpack has posted two or less penalties.

Despite drawing seven penalties in last week’s win over Eastern Kentucky, NC State still ranks among the FBS leaders for fewest penalties (t10th).

MR. DEPENDABLEThe ever-versatile Matt Dayes, a preseason candidate for the Doak Walker and Paul Hornung Awards, has had the ball in his hands 291 times in his career - 215 rushes, 48 receptions and 28 kickoff returns. In those touches, Dayes has had two miscues - a fumble on a KOR vs. Syracuse that was recovered by the Wolfpack - and one dropped pass (vs. Richmond in 2013).

WIN STREAKNC State has won its last five games, dating back to last season. That streak ties with Clemson for the longest current streak in the ACC.

Since the 2002 campaign, when the Wolfpack opened the season 9-0 en route to an 11-3 campaign, the only other time State has won five straight was the last game of 2009 (victory over UNC) and the first five games of 2010.

RAISING THE BARFrom the minute the 2015 Wolfpack squad arrived back on campus in January to begin the spring semester, its motto has been “Raise the Bar.”

Even though the Wolfpack showed a five-game improvement in the win column - a mark that ranked second in the Power 5 conferences and tied for fifth among all Division I programs, qualified for and won a bowl game, and defeated both in-state rivals that it played (Wake Forest and UNC), Dave Doeren’s third NC State squad was determined not to rest on its laurels.

Instead, the head coach has encouraged his charges to “Raise the Bar” - their expectations for themselves individually and for the team as a whole. Each day of fall camp, he asked his players what their ‘one more’ was for that day, with a goal of each individual doing one thing better each day.

The idea is obviously having some results. The Pack has gone from a 3-9 team in 2013, to receiving 14 votes in the latest Associated Press poll.

RUSHING INTO 2015The Wolfpack rushed for 204.5 yards per game in 2014, the school’s best mark since 1992 and the 12th-best mark in school history. The 2015 squad has thus far carried that tradition forward, notching 251 rushing yards in the season opener and 199 last week against Eastern Kentucky.

Over the last three games of 2014, the Pack averaged 312 rushing yards. In terms of yards per carry, the 5.2 average marked a school record and three different runners with over 50 carries averaged more than five yards per attempt.

For the first time since 1973, three different Pack players rushed for 500+ yards: Shadrach Thornton (907), Matt

It means something different to everyone.

To us at NC State, it means an opportunity to share the passion, loyalty, history, tradition, and multitude of experiences on and off the field that are complete-ly unique to the Wolfpack Nation.

It’s true to our DNA and who we are. It’s a stu-dent-athlete who does exceptional things here on or off the field, graduates, and uses those experi-ences to accomplish amazing things when he or she leaves. It’s every bit as much about a loyal fan base that sticks with us through thick and thin.

The rationale and meaning behind it is simple:

•To help us adequately celebrate what’s exceptional about NC State athletics, both on and off the field of play

•To take a simple concept and infuse deep emotional connection and meaning

•To provide a platform that strikes a balance between meaningful tradition and modern day relevance

Dayes (573) and Jacoby Brissett (529). Dayes rushed for a career best 126 yards in the opener, marking the third time in the last four games (dating back to last season) that a Pack Back has rushed for 100+ yards.

MAN ON A MISSIONThe Wolfpack’s success at sending quarterbacks into the NFL has been well documented. NC State was the only school with three alums starting in the NFL last season and Wolfpack alums hold two of the top four highest guaranteed salaries in the NFL. Don’t be surprised if the legend of QBU grows a bit after the 2015 season.

Senior Jacoby Brissett is the latest in that storied line of great quarterbacks to wear the red and white. With just 15 games under his belt at NC State, he already ranks eighth in school history in career passing touchdowns (26), 14th in passing yards (3,018) and second in percentage (.624). He set a school record for rushing by a quarterback last season with 573 yards.

Brissett’s head coach calls him a “man on a mission.” He put himself through two-a-day workouts all summer, working individually on techique and footwork in the mornings and then with the team in the afternoons. A true leader, Brissett wrote each member of the offense notes prior to each game last season and he is rumored to leave baked items for his offensive linemen each week.

SHIFTING THE LINEThe Wolfpack offensive line has not only been effective, but versatile. Three of the current starters have played multiple positions during their Wolfpack career and two - Alex Barr and Joe Thuney - have started at more than one spot.

Thuney, the current starter at left tackle, has been the most versatile member of the line, having started at four different spots and playing all five spots on the line (he was in at center in the Wolfpack’s 2012 upset of No. 3 Florida State).

Here’s a look at where the starters have seen action during their careers:

GETTING IT DOERENWolfpack head coach Dave Doeren has enjoyed great success during his first four seasons as a head coach. In his two years at Northern Illinois, he posted more wins than any coach in the nation with the exception of Alabama’s Nick Saban.

A 2012 Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year finalist, Doeren has averaged 8.5 wins per season as a head coach, the fifth-best mark in the ACC, heading into 2015: Wins Rk. Coach, School Record Yrs /Yr 1. WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH...... Dave Doeren gets going. Heading into the season, the Wolfpack’s head coach is the active leader among Power 5 teams for wins in games decided by four points or less. Doeren posts a 7-2 (.778) mark in those games in his four-year head coaching career.

LOOKING BACK on 2014

√ The Wolfpack showed a five-game improvement in the win column in 2014, a mark that ranked second among the Power 5 conferences and tied for fifth among all Division I programs.

√ Now under the leadership of Doeren, who has mentored bowl eligible teams in 10 of his 13 years as a full-time coach

√ The Wolfpack was one of just two ACC schools to end the 2014 season with three consecutive wins. Those wins included victories over two instate schools - Wake Forest (42-13) and a road victory over UNC-Chapel Hill (35-7). NC State closed out the campaign with a win over UCF in the Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl - a game played just 120 miles from UCF’s campus.

He’s posted a 13-4 (.765) mark in one-possession games.

SHORT ON SENIORSOnly 10% of the Wolfpack’s 2015 roster is made up of seniors. In fact, NC State fields its fewest amount of players in their final year of eligibility (11) since the 2004 campaign (11).

Dave Doeren’s squad has the second-smallest senior class in the ACC for 2015 and is tied as the sixth-smallest class nationally:

SECONDARY SCHOOLThe 2015 squad fields the most experienced defensive secondary in the Atlantic Coast Conference in terms of career games started, with all four starters returning (five if you count the nickel spot).

The Wolfpack’s regular starters at safety and corner have now collectively started 90 career contests while play-ing in 120 combined games. Despite that experience, only two of the returning starters, free safety Hakim Jones and corner Juston Burris, are in their final year of eligibility.

REAL WORLD WEDNESDAYSOne of the goals of the Wolfpack coaching staff is to help its student-athletes succeed not only on the football field, but in life after football. To help his team achieve this goal, head coach Dave Doeren instituted “Real World Wednesdays” last winter.

During Wednesday team meetings throughout the offseason, speakers came in to present a variety of topics, including domestic violence, dealing with police, drug abuse, dining etiquette, proper dress attire (how to tie a tie!), “What is masculinity?” and basic finances.

DEFENSIVE LINEOne of the deepest units on the squad in 2015 is the defensive line. And it better be! Line coach Ryan Nielsen uses frequent substitutions along the front, looking for quality reps rather than quantity. In 2014, all 11 defensive linemen who saw action played over 100 snaps for the season. Ten defensive linemen have seen action in the season opener.

The depth has a potential down side, however, as there are five freshmen (four true, one redshirt) and five sophomores among the 12 players listed on the depth chart. In other words, 83% of the unit is made up of underclassmen.

FENCE ‘EM INOn the day he was introduced as NC State’s head coach in December of 2012, head coach Dave Doeren said it was “upsetting” to see “all the great players from the state of North Carolina” starring for other programs.

“We will fight for every kid who we think belongs here,” Doeren said then. “If we don’t get one, it’s not going to be for a lack of effort.”

A look at his first two full signing classes (2014 & 2015) shows that Doeren has kept that promise, as the Wolfpack has signed some of the top players in North Carolina each year.

RED, WHITE & GREEN

When NC State’s football team scores touch-downs this fall at Carter-Finley Stadium, Wolfpack fans will be moving the chains toward creating a zero-waste season.

Composting has been available the last two spring games, but this marks the first time it will be of-fered for a full football season.

NC State Athletics and NC State’s Waste Reduc-tion and Recycling Office have partnered to add stadium composting bins, which will be used to collect food waste and other organic material from each game. This waste will be recycled into com-post, a nutrient-rich soil amendment that is used to grow plants, flowers and trees.

The new gray-and-green compost bins will be located next to landfill and recycling bins in the stadium when the season kicks off on Sept. 5 against Troy. Student volunteers will be available to help sort leftover food or food-related paper goods, such as pizza boxes and paper plates, into compost bins. Since this is a pilot program, the compost bins are only available on the stadium concourse, meaning any items left in the stands cannot be composted.

NC State vs. Old Dominion

In February, The Pack signed 12 players from North Carolina, including four of the top eight rated players in the state (all four of whom were ranked in the top-300 nationally). Those 12 signees were also ranked in the top-five of their position group in the state, including eight in the top-three.

In 2014, Doeren and his staff signed 16 North Carolina players. Five of those young men were ranked as the top player at their position in the state, while seven overall were ranked among NC’s top-25 players.

RETURN ON INVESTMENTNC State averaged 5.9 yards per carry last season versus P5 teams (not counting sacks). That mark ranked seventh nationally in the Power 5 confer-ences, ahead of Oregon, TCU, Auburn and Alabama.

Those numbers could improve in 2015, as the Wolfpack’s top three rushers and three starters from the ‘14 offensive line return this season.

Highest Percentage of (non-sack) rushes for 5+ yards vs. P5 teams:

WONDERFUL WALK-ONSNC State has boasted a strong walk-on program during Dave Doeren’s short tenure. Eleven (current or former) walk-ons saw game action in 2014 and 10 played during his first season at NC State.

In just 38 months, Doeren has awarded scholarships to 10 different walk-ons, including five players on the current squad: Ben Grazen, Nick Lacy, Gavin Locklear, Ernie Robinson and Charlie Twitty.

GIVING BACKWhen Dave Doeren was named head coach in December of 2012, one of his first items of business was to ramp up the football squad’s community service efforts. Since January of 2013, members of his team have donated almost 4,000 hours to good causes around the area - from read-a-thons, to Dance Marathons, to building houses for Habitat for Humanity. For its efforts, Wolfpack Football was the recipient the athletic department’s “Community Service” award in the spring of 2015.

PACK IN THE FRONT OFFICENot only does NC State boast an impressive number of former players on NFL rosters, but the Pack also is becoming a pipeline to the league’s front offices.

All-ACC guard Steve Keim (1992-95) has been the General Manager of the Arizona Cardinals since January of 2013 after previously serving as Vice President of Player Personnel, Director of College Scouting and as a regional scout.

His Wolfpack teammate, Morocco Brown, who played linebacker from 1994-97, was recently named Vice President of Player Personnel for the Cleveland Browns after spending six seasons as Director of Pro Personnel for the Washington Redskins.

Page 8: GAME 3: OLD DOMINION MONARCHS...in Dave Doeren’s Wolfpack tenure that the Pack posted a 40+-minute time of possession. In his first game as head coach for the Pack, his offense held

When Brown left for the Browns, another former State player, Alex Santos (1996-99) took over as the Director of Pro Personnel at Washington after work-ing in the personnel department for seven years.

Another former ‘Pack linebacker is in charge of the Pro Personnel department in Chicago, as Kevin Turks (1995-98) holds that position with the Bears.

Several former players are also working as NFL scouts, including John Ritcher (2002-05) with the Cardinals, Harrison Ritcher (2007-09) with the Browns, Darrell Moody (1968-70) with the Bills, and Ray Agnew (1986-89) with the St. Louis Rams.

QBUOver the last two NFL seasons, no other school has enjoyed as much success at the quarterback position in the NFL than former NC State QBs. During the 2013 and 2014 NFL campaigns, a trio of former Wolfpack QBs have combined to start 90 of a possible 104 games.

Two former Wolfpack QBs, Russell Wilson and Philip Rivers, rank in the top 10 of the NFL’s highest contracts (Wilson is 2nd and Rivers is eighth).

Philip Rivers (34 starts) and Wilson (38 starts) have both started every game the last two seasons in the NFL, while Mike Glennon of the Tampa Bay Bucs has registered 18 total starts in his first two NFL campaigns.

Of the stats compiled by ACC alums in the NFL in the past two seasons, former Wolfpack signal callers have contributed the majority. Here’s a look at the total numbers by ACC alums in the past two seasons: • Of the 3,834 completions by ACC alums, NC State has accounted for 43.4% (1,663).• Of the 43,849 passing yards by ACC alums, NC State has accounted for 44.8% (19,621).• Of the 261 passing TDs, NC State has accounted for 52.9% (138).• NC State alums have more passing TDs (138) than former players from the other 13 ACC schools combined (123).

SELLING OUTWolfpack Nation has shown its excitement and support once again as 2015 season tickets and mini-packs are sold out. NC State fans purchased the second-highest number of season tickets in program history - 35,065 - with over 3,000 new season tickets being sold. Wolfpack fans have shown their loyalty to the tune of a 96 percent renewal rate.

SEEMS LIKE OLD TIMESNC State has only faced Old Dominion once, earning a 46-34 victory in Raleigh last season. And although the Pack hasn’t played in Norfolk in 45 years, that city was a frequent destination in the early years of the program. NC State played there 24 times from 1907-1970, posting an 11-12-1 mark against a variety of op-ponents.

Tidewater history

In the earliest days of NC State football, even before it acquired the nickname Wolfpack in 1921, the school regularly played games in Virginia’s Tidewater area.

In fact, from 1907-23, NC State played there 21 times in 17 years, with at least one game every year and two games each in ’08, ’09, ’22 and ’23. The most frequent opponent by far was Virginia Tech (17 games), though NC State also faced Virgin-ia, Washington & Lee, Virginia Military Institute, Davidson and both Maryland and the Maryland Athletic Club.

In all, NC State has played 32 neutral-site football games in Norfolk and two in neighboring Portsmouth, Virginia, posting a 15-18-1 record in the Tidewater.

The last two of those games were in the Oyster Bowl, a regular-season game that raised money for the Norfolk-area Shriner’s Children Hospital. NC State lost to Southern Miss in the 1966 Oyster Bowl and beat Maryland 7-0 in 1970, its last appearance in the Norfolk area before Saturday’s game at Old Dominion.

WOLFPACK STORYLINES

300 lb. offensive guard Tony Adams played competitive tennis all of his life before coming to NC State. He picked up the sport at the age of 2! His father, Carl Adams, was been the head wrestling coach at Boston University for 34 years.

OG Alex Barr’s father is a pilot for Delta and flew the team on a road trip to Maryland in 2012.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett writes (not types, writes!) a note to every player on offense before every game. He also bakes for his offensive linemen each week.

WR Naquan Brown’s college career started a little late. He worked full-time at Wal-Mart following high school to provide for his mother and younger brother.

Tight end Benson Browne has two undergraduate degrees (psychology and communication). He is now enrolled in a liberal arts Master’s program.

Sophomore defensive end Bradley Chubb’s brother Brandon is a starting linebacker at Wake Forest and his cousin Nik plays RB at Georgia.

Freshman punter A.J. Cole III has spent his last two spring breaks on a mission trip to Kenya. He is spon-soring a young man to attend Mountain Park Academy in Kenya.

Freshman wideout Nyheim Hines has a twin sister, Nyah, who is a member of the Wolfpack track squad.

Senior safety Hakim Jones was given the No. 1 jersey for this season in recognition of his hard work and leadership.

6’6 Defensive end Pharoah McKever started his NC State career at wide receiver.

RS Fr. quarterback Jalan McClendon stands at a towering 6’6. When he was a freshman in high school, he was 5’9 and was a triple option quarterback. Dave Doeren says he plays with a ‘little man’s mentality.”

Freshman defensive end Emmanuel Olenga was born in Kinshasa (Congo) Africa. He speaks four lan-guages: French, English, and two native African languages: Lingala and Kitatala.

DE James Smith-Williams started an athletic service club at Millbrook High School during his prep career. He and other student-athletes volunteered at a local middle school to help students prepare for End-of-Grade exams.

Quarterback Josh Taylor spent part of his summer with NC State’s study abroad program in Spain.

Offensive guard/tackle Joe Thuney is a voracious reader. He often has a book open during breaks between meetings, practices, etc. Rumor has it that he scored a 39 on his Wonderlic test.

Cornerback Jack Tocho is the star of his own web series: “You Don’t Know Jack!”

Nickel Dravious Wright was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease last season and undergoes frequent treat-ments to keep the disease in check.

Close-King Indoor Practice Facility

The Wolfpack’s new Close-King Indoor Practice Facility is a beautiful addition to NC State’s vast array of football facilities. This privately-funded $14 million facility boasts a full 120-yard football field with a roof height sufficient for kicking game and suspended goal posts. There are additional training and conditioning space beyond both end zones and four sprint lanes down the full length of the field.

Other features include an in-ground and above-ground pads for long jump, triple jump, high jump and other track events, end zone and 50-yardline viewing platforms, clerestory windows and glass roll-up doors to allow natural daylight, a complete sound system, and support areas for equipment, strength and conditioning and sports medicine.

The facility is in close proximity to Carter-Finley Stadium, the Murphy Football Center and the Dail Outdoor practice complex.

1PACK1GOAL

The Wolfpack’s battle cry under head coach Dave Do-eren has been “1Pack, 1Goal.” That mantra confirms Doeren’s belief in the power of a team working togeth-er and focused on its goals.

Doeren also introduced his “12 Commandments” to the squad when he took over the program. This is a list of attributes that he wants his program to exhibit. During fall camp each year, each position group takes one of the 12 and presents it to the team.

Dave Doeren’s 12 “Commandments” 1. Accountability 7. Pride 2. Hard Work 8. Discipline 3. Family 9. Urgency 4. Faith 10. Focus 5. Detail 11. Perseverance 6. Loyalty 12. Three P’s (Prepare, Practice, Play to win)
