 ROUNDERS…Since General Manager Doug Wilson took over prior to the 2003-04 season, only the Detroit Red Wings 24 playoffseries surpass the Sharks total of 23 (including this Western Conference Final vs. St. Louis).  San Jose and Detroit are the only twoteams in the NHL to have made the playoffs 11 times in the last 12 seasons.  CALIFORNIA KNOWS HOW TO PARTY…This marks the seventh consecutive season in which a California-based NHL franchise hasadvanced to the Western Conference Final, with San Jose having done so three of those instances. Moreover, a California team hasappeared in the conference finals in 11 of the last 13 playoffs, with the Sharks representing four of those times.   A NEW STORY…The Sharks return to the postseason after a one-year hiatus.
