Deb’s Doodles I always knew Mark Twain was a wise soul. He said, “In the spring, I have counted 136 different kinds of weather inside of 24 hours.” He must have been in Tex-as when he said that. Two and three days ago, I was enjoying the sun’s warmth while watching Scrappy Doo romp and play all over mother’s backyard. I sat in the front yard of Elisha’s home and enjoyed Liam riding his bicycle, his scooter, his skateboard, and jumping endlessly on his pogo stick. This morning, I sit at my computer wrapped in a blanket. I pray that each of you is warm and cozy inside. There are many things to look forward to in the next few months. As the warm weather con-tinues to fight its way back, the warmth of remembering our own chapter’s 81st birthday and the leg-acy of the DKG founders will be the agenda for the next two meetings. With the new International amendments there will be changes that we must become accustomed to. And don’t forget the new schedule for dues. We will be having to pay next year’s membership dues very soon in order to meet the summer deadline. Yes, it is extremely inconvenient; but we will be on the new schedule after this. As you read this newsletter, we will have two new members that completed Leadership 2019. I can’t wait to hear from K-Dee and Terri on their experience. I hope that you will make plans to attend the TSO convention in Arlington June 20-22. I at-tended the Kick-Off Celebration on Saturday, February 9. It is super easy to drive to the hotel and convention center. There are multiple hotels at lower rates very close to the convention center. There is also another hotel that has been blocked for convention attendees with a shuttle provided to the convention center. New state officers will be inducted, and all chapter presidents will be presented along with Area Coordinator Sharon McDougle. We can’t wait to introduce the new slate of officers, committee chairs and members, and area coordinator to you. Terri has been discussing some great ideas for next year’s meeting programs. If you have some ideas, now is the time to present those to her. See you in Spur on March 4. Please bring guests that would love to learn more about Delta Kappa Gamma Society International and Gamma Eta. Love and blessings to all, Debbi Ball

Gamma Eta Sisters Care
My heart is full of grateful-ness and thankfulness for my Gamma Eta sisters as well as members of The Delta Kappa Society International for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers over the past
several weeks. It was a very touching moment when I walked into David’s visitation and the funeral and saw so many of my DKG sisters Thank you for your love and your prayers. Janie

Look who we got a picture of this month...Ruby Cook, our Reserve Member.
Terri Koch Egerton introducing the program “Bridging Times and Places Through Travel” and the presenter, Tiffany Mitch-ell. This program showed the way to travel without the hassle. Chapter members were able to travel to the pyramids of Egypt or ride the world’s largest roller coaster. Hang on to your hats...this technology is headed to a school near you!
