10.2 Damage to Premises: The Resident agrees to maintain their Suite in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition. The Resident shall ensure that the Suite remains clear of clutter that would impede mobility or be deemed a fire hazard. The Foundation reserves the right to inspect the Suite at any time upon giving the Resident 24 hours’ notice, or immediately if an emergency exists and entry by the Foundation is necessary to protect life or property. The Resident shall abide by any directive from the Foundation to clear clutter. The Resident further agrees to reimburse the Foundation for any loss of, or damage to the Foundation property, inside or outside, caused by the Resident or the Resident’s guests or invitees, excluding normal wear and tear. As we all know the month of July can be very warm so use caution when outdoors. Hats and sunscreen are advisable and remember to keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Please understand that temperatures in the high 20’s and above put a strain on our air-conditioning system and that Rob does his utmost to maintain a reasonable temperature in the building. My advice is to open your windows late in the evening and to keep them shut tight during the day. The warm weather is however great for our new garden area so please take advantage of this beautiful area of our grounds. And REMEMBER, this is like any other common area, it is for all to share and enjoy. By the time you read this I will likely be on one of my fishing trips, so I’ll have some tall tales to tell when I return. That’s all for now, stay healthy and safe and please choose to be happy. 3 Tips for Sun Safety 1.Wear the appropriate clothing. The best summertime clothing is lightweight

and breathable fabrics, such as cotton. Shirts should be long sleeved, and a wide brimmed hat will protect your skin from the sun.

2.Apply sunscreen early and often. Try to apply sunscreen an hour before you

plan to go outside, make sure to reapply every 2 hours. Look for a sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB radiation.

3.Drink plenty of fluids. Try to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day,

more if you are doing any kind of physical activity or if the weather is particularly hot.

Maintenance Corner

Hello residents, this is Rob your maintenance man. It is now July and our new garden is in full swing with beautiful vegetables. Now with these longer days and much warmer temperatures please remember to keep your bodies hydrated with plenty of fluids. As I am sure you have noticed we have a new grounds keeper, willing and able to help assist you with any outdoor gardening or grounds inquiries. Enjoy this warm month and keep me posted on any issues you might have. Thanks again for another pleasant month at Garden View! Rob

July is here and let’s hope there is lots of hot weather, bright flowers, and delicious food. We are planning some fun in the sun and fantastic BBQs. Make sure you wear your red for Canada Day and celebrate our wonderful country. Josh
