Energy coupled with the training provided by Garrad Hassan have been the prime reasons behind my application.

I recently completed an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Glasgow. In the course

of

my MSc degree, I took

nodules such as Optical Communications, Digital Communications and Digital Signal Processing. These modules consolidated my

u derstanding of Computers and Infonnation Technology. In addition,

my

interest in energy systems led

me to

carry

out

a project on Miao

E ectromechanical Stirling Engines. This work in which I read through several journals gave me a deeper understanding

of

engineering desig

d allenges. I

have

continued to further study on

Renewable

energy

and have read David

Mackay s book titled Sustainable Energy without th

HPt Air . I favourab ly disposed to his presentation of issues and wish to bring a similar analytical style in viewing and solving problems.

It twas in line with my desire to grow in Engineeringthat I ensured I obtained soa work experience during my undergraduate program. I worked

I addition, in my final year of undergraduate study, I suggested my group's project topic which was on the implementation

Arduino

icrocontrollers for Student Lab training. The topic addressed a need which was the lack of inexpensive modules for teaching students the

ndamentals of electroonics in our school. I co-ordinated our project

work

and organised our meetings which involved learning Arduino

programming. We

were

able

to

demonstrate the versatility

of

the Arduino baord wth sevral circuits such

as

a Pulse width Modulation Circuit.

C the years, I have become proficient with Microsoft Word 2007 and Excel 2007 as I have repeatedly used them during my internships an

p reject tasks. I have used Excel during my Masters programin preparing lab reports that required creating formulas and Pivot tables. In
