Youth Ministries

Gary Youth Serve Sunday: Dec. 3 from 3–4 p.m. at Brighton Gardens. Come connect with

seniors as we play Bingo.

Gary Youth Midweek will resume on Dec. 6 from 7–8:30 p.m. in the Activity Center.

Opportunities at Gary Church

The Lunchtime Literary Group will meet on Nov. 28 at 12 p.m. in Commons A to discuss

Monticello by Sally Cabat Gunning. Pack a lunch and join the discussion.

Praise Service: Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. in Winfield’s Sanctuary. Following the service there will be

an optional dinner and fellowship time at a local restaurant. All are welcome to attend.

The Lunch Group will meet on Dec. 14 at 12 p.m. in Gary’s Commons. Pizza will be

provided. Bring a dish to share. Cost: $2 per person.

Please Note

College Care Package Notes: Be sure to stop in the Commons between services to write an

encouraging note to our college students. The notes will be added to the care packages that will

be mailed out to our students in time for finals.

2017 Church Conference: Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel. This annual meeting with our

District Superintendent, Rev. Dick Wisdom, is open to all in the church.

Midwest Shelter for Homeless Vets is collecting $25 gift cards for veterans this holiday

season. Cards from grocery stores and “big box” stores are appreciated. Cards may be brought

to the Church Office no later than Dec. 17.

Burning Bush Art Gallery—An Outreach of Gary Church

Now Showing: Karma through Dec. 17. This show features local artists, poets, and musicians.

Artists’ Reception: Dec. 3 from 1-4 p.m.

Acorn Coffeehouse presents the Bittersweet Christmas Band: on Dec. 9 at 8 pm. Doors open

at 7:30 p.m. Cost: $10. February Sky joins forces with Kate Early and Margaret Nelson for a

show that presents every possible perspective on the holiday season, from the reverent to the

ridiculous. Reservations encouraged at acorncoffeehouse.com
