Eight Simple Ways to Increase Your
Church’s Attendance This Weekend
1. Make sure you ’re there.
2. Pray for a larger number of people to hear the
gospel.
3. Call at least three regular attenders today and
tomorrow, and let them know you ’re looking forward
to seeing them.
4. Call at least two former attenders today and
tomorrow, and let them know you ’ve missed them.
5. Pick up somebody who can ’t come without
transportation.
6. At work or school, quietly brag a bit about what God
is doing in your church.
7. Invite your neighbors to church, followed by lunch at
a restaurant.
8. Talk to unchurched family members about your
bringing their children to church with you this week.
Pray for Hermann Church
Location: Herm ann, Missouri
Pastor: Jason Gentry
Fast Facts: First Baptist Church of Herm ann had its
beginning with a two-week revival in July 1954. In
September of 1954 the First Baptist Church of Owensville
began to sponsor the new mission, and in 1955 the mission
purchased a place of worship. The new church grew steadily.
Eager to spread the gospel, the Hermann church began a
mission in Gasconade which later became the First Baptist
Church of Gasconade. Pray that the church will continue to
possess that same desire to reach their community with the
gospel.

Jesus set the example of how to do ministry.
He did what he had to do to meet people’s
needs wherever they were. But he didn’t stop
there. He had compassion for His people des-
perately lost without him.
You can share with our state through the 2016
Rheubin L. South Missouri Missions Offering!
The task is large, but if you and I don’t do it . . .
then who will?
Missouri Baptists have a challenge to reach
this year’s Missouri Missions Offering goal so
that the ministries which meet people’s needs,
can take place. Ministries like the Missouri
Baptist Children’s Home, State Fair Ministry,
Sports Evangelism, Summer Missionaries,
Disaster Relief, and Church Planting will
depend on the faithfulness of our support.
We also have a challenge to ask God
how He wants to use us in order to
reach our state for Christ. Will you take
the challenge.
