2.Korea | KINTEX 1 | 24 – 27 March 2014
dear industry colleagues,
As the president & Ceo of KoGAs it is my great pleasure to invite you to the Gastech Conference & exhibition in Korea. As one of the leading gas events in the industry, Gastech encompasses all aspects of the international gas and LNG supply chain, helping to forge and strengthen business relationships across the global gas industry.
In its 42nd year, Gastech is expected to attract over 2,000 senior national, regional and international executives to its Conference and as a delegate you will engage in quality networking with the world’s commercial and technical leaders, benefit from comprehensive and thought-provoking conference sessions and attend excellent social functions.
I look forward to welcoming you to Gastech Korea in 2014.
yours sincerely
Mr. Jang Seok Hyo President and CEO, KOGAS Chairman, Korea Gas Union
dear colleague,
We are delighted to be able to bring Gastech to northern Asia for the very first time in our 42 year history. by taking the event to Korea – one of the world’s fastest-growing economies and the second-largest importer of LNG – the global gas industry arrives in the heart of a region rapidly expanding its gas demands.
More than two-thirds of the world’s LNG supply is consumed in an area less than three hours’ flight from seoul, with the key markets of Japan, China and taiwan neighbouring. As a result, the interest and buzz in both the conference and the exhibition has been unprecedented, and we received more than 500 abstracts from individuals and companies all over the world hoping to speak on the conference programme for 2014. our Governing body were then faced with the lengthy and challenging task of selecting the strongest 70 papers – the cream of the crop – which now make up the 2014 programme you see here.
We have tried hard to ensure that only the most original and informative papers have made it through and that all our delegates ultimately gain a business-critical advantage from attending Gastech 2014. there are many essential, must-hear papers on both the commercial and technical streams and I hope you enjoy learning more about these at the event.
on behalf of the organisers and our generous hosts, KoGAs, I look forward to warmly welcoming you to Korea and to the Gastech 2014 Conference.
Gavin SutcliffeHead of programmeGastech 2014
www.gastechkorea.com/conference 3.
Gastech’s acclaimed international conference features more than 120 of the industry’s most prominent speakers and representatives from the global gas community to engage over key issues impacting the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors.
the commercial and technical conference programme provides a vital opportunity to meet every 18 months and stay on top of the changes, evolution and developments being witnessed by the gas and LNG industries. With plenty of face-to-face networking, comprehensive conference sessions and excellent social functions, the Gastech 2014 Conference brings innovation, discussion and inspiration by connecting the commercial and technical players together under one roof.
