Annual Report 2019
Why Your Gifts Matter
Gateway Center for
World Mission
Your Gifts are Helping the Body Do More Together Than Each Could Do Alone Based on 2019 Fayette County Public School English Language Learning student enrollment, local estimates are that: 22% of the total Lexington population are foreign
language speakers Approximately 185 languages from all parts of the
world are spoken in Lexington The Gateway Center is working to facilitate a partnership of 35 churches and ministries in the Lexington, KY area to develop Lexington as an “Antioch type of city” that will reach the nations here and send missionaries to those who have yet to hear.
Your Preservice Gifts are Building for Launch P and T and their three children were just about ready to make the jump into the next phase of their training at the YWAM Base in Tyler, TX. They had carefully chosen this training and it had been confirmed. A large portion of their launch fund was saved up. They just need a big push to the finish line. Two rather significant events crashed their scheduled departure. P broke her arm and T had an emergency appendectomy. This depleted their resources of personal savings and energy. They decided that it would be best to postpone their next step until they were fully functional and whole. That meant that another year would be spent in pre-service. The YWAM base they had chosen was just right for their gifts and their family. The next class available will be the summer of 2020. This next year will be their victory year. All of God’s plans and purpose will come into alignment and they will be sent out. You will send another family into the nations!

YOUR GIFTS HAVE ESTABLISHED SMALL GROUPS THAT TRAIN PEOPLE TO MINISTER TO OTHERS
YOUR GIFTS ARE REACHING NATIONS HERE AND SENDING MISSIONARIES TO THE WORLD
The discipleship movement in Uganda that has brought more than 30,000 souls into the kingdom and has laid the foundation for Ugandan led discipleship programs to over 500 churches in the Bunyoro-Kitara area.
Many of those leaders you have helped train have been called to other parts of Uganda to replicate the movement in their areas.
The Gateway Center will go in November-December to train Kigadi leaders to sustain the movement there. We will also lay the foundation to expand the movement into 100 churches and the theological college to ensure new and existing church planters are equipped.

Testimony from your team in Brazil: “God is doing great things in Brazil! We are privileged and blessed to try to keep up with HIM! The Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary reports that Brazil ranks number 2 as a missionary sending nation. However, Brazil is in a hard place economically right now, and many pastors and leaders are hesitant to aggressively send missionaries. Our work here involves helping disciple and coach Brazilians who have a call to cross-cultural missions on their way to the field, and providing coaching, love, and support once they are on the field. We also help the Brazilian church, in general, get better at raising up and sending missionaries in the power of the Holy Spirit and in "a manner worthy of God." (3 John 1:6) We are saying to the Brazilian leadership team (those with a call to help mobilize, train, and send), “Generally, we aren't going to be the leaders in most areas of the ministry. Our role is to will help you learn and succeed in your calling as missionary leaders.”
Our team is rapidly becoming involved with the Perspectives Course in Portuguese and researching other missionary training opportunities that will strengthen both missionary candidates and those sending them. Without your gifts none of this would be possible. Because of your faithfulness, God has given us an amazing opening to flood unreached peoples with Brazilian missionaries. Now, more than ever, your gift matters!

“I have worked with Gateway Center for world Missions for twelve years, 2007 to date.
Our partnership has motivated, inspired and envisioned to what it means to be a servant of God and care for the flock entrusted unto me.
Secondarily, Kagadi Archdeaconry is ranked the best among the other nine archdeaconries and one cathedral deanary simply because of the discipleship and evangelism skills given to church Leaders.
We are now organizing a Grand Welcoming Ceremony of over 1019 new Christians converted from cults and occults, including Islam at Muhorro Town Church on 3rd/11/2019. The Church in Kagadi Archdeaconry is grown more than ever before. We are very grateful.” -Ven.Rev.Can.Eric Twine Archdeacon
