Hymn “As the Deer”

VERSE 1 As the deer panteth for the water so my soul longeth after you; You alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship you; You alone are my strength, my shield; to you alone may my spirit yield. You alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship you. VERSE 2 You’re my friend and you are my brother, even though you are a king. I love you more than any other, so much more than anything. You are alone are my strength, my shield; to you alone may my spirit yield. You alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship you. VERSE 3 I want you more than gold and silver, only you can satisfy. You alone are the real joy giver and the apple of my eye. You alone are my strength, my shield; to you alone may my spirit yield. You alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship you.

Blessing of the Animals Pastor Dave

Bible Reading Wendy Brown

Matthew 10:40-42

“Whoever welcomes you welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes

the one who sent me. Whoever welcomes a prophet in the name of a prophet

will receive a prophet’s reward; and whoever welcomes a righteous person in

the name of a righteous person will receive the reward of the righteous; and

whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name

of a disciple—truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.”

Hymn “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” — St. Olaf Choir

VERSE 1 What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry, Everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear! All because we do not carry, Everything to God in prayer! VERSE 2 Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged; Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Thank you for joining our parking lot service this morning. We invite you to put a folding chair out-

side in front our your vehicle, but please make sure to keep socially distanced from others. You

may now use the atrium restrooms. Please enter through the farthest right doorway. Be sure to

wear a mask and sanitize your hands prior to using the restrooms.

Our Blessing of Animals will take place following today’s Children’s Message. Please line up where

indicated and proceed forward as directed by Pastor Dave for your animal’s blessing. You may re-

turn to your vehicle after the blessing or take your animal for a walk.

Please leave the parking lot at the direction of the parking lot attendants. An offering container is

available as you leave if you wish to contribute to our parking lot services. If you are visiting as a

member or attendee of a church other than FCC, please support your church’s ministry.

Our Executive Council has approved a protocol for the use of our outdoor grounds and indoor facili-

ties. We are still discussing an opening date for worship and other church meetings and functions.

We will continue to offer Parking Lot Worship during the summer months even when we reopen our

church for indoor worship.

Thanks to our worship servants today—worship participants, tech support, parking lot helpers, staff,

advertising, worship leaders, trustees, and production crew.

Remember to check out “Mission Possible,” on our FCC website or on Facebook. This is our “At

Home” VBS Experience for this summer.

We are excited to announce that our Church Office is now open, every Tuesday, Wednesday, and

Thursday from 10am-2pm. Please plan your office visits and phone calls for these times if possible.
