Everyday useFor short, day-to-day trips, you will be most comfortable riding in a relaxed upright seating position (A). You will adopt this seating position for instance on our lifestyle urban bikes.

Commuting or bike ridesIf you use the bike intensively to go to work or for somewhat longer bike rides, then it is better to sit leaning slightly forward (B). This will make

you go faster, with greater manoeuvrability and offer less wind resistance. This is the seating position you will adopt for instance on many of our electric bikes or the low-maintenance all-round bikes.

Sporty ridesIf you are more of a sporty cyclist and like going out for hours on bike rides, then a Gazelle touring bike would probably suit you best. The seating

position consists of leaning forward a little more (C), with a derailleur providing even smoother and easier gear changes. You will find this seating position on our electric and touring bikes.

You can take it out of the bike rack effortlessly and easily lift it onto the rear bike carrier on your car or caravan. A large proportion of our electric bikes weigh less than 25 kg, including the easily removable battery! The popular Orange Innergy bikes were almost 10% lighter than competitive models in 2012! Weighing just 19.9 kg (excl. battery) the Fuente Lite Innergy X2 is Gazelle’s lightest electric bike.

every plug connection a charging point!At work or in a patio, you can easily charge the removable battery in your Gazelle bike anywhere there is a mains socket. With the Gazelle quick charger this takes just a third of the time! The lithium-ion battery offers unprecedentedly long service life and continues to hold its charge.

choice of three motorsGood grip through front-wheel driveA large proportion of Gazelle bikes have the motor fitted in the front wheel. This means that electric bikes can be fitted with a low-maintenance enclosed chain case. As a result of the good weight distribution and front-wheel drive you will always have excellent grip on the road while cycling.

Extra powerful Innergy X2 motorIf you often cycle through hilly areas, you will opt for the extra-powerful Innergy X2 motor with a pedal force sensor (Dual Sensor Technology). Due to the fact that this motor is 20% lighter than the standard Innergy motor, you are certain of extra range and optimum cycling pleasure! See further on in this brochure for more information and our bikes featuring an Innergy X2 motor.

New: Gazelle bikes with a mid-mounted motorIn addition to the bikes with a front-wheel motor, Gazelle is introducing five models with a mid-

mounted motor. Positioning the motor directly at the bottom bracket makes an electric bike with a mid-mounted motor just as manoeuvrable as a conventional bike. A low-maintenance enclosed chain case is also available with a mid-mounted motor. The Impulse EM came out best in tests in Germany and Belgium in 2013.

Rotation sensorEntry models are equipped with a rotation sensor. This activates the assistance only when you pedal forward. It makes no difference how much effort you put into it, the assistance works all the time, i.e. simple and robust.

Dual Sensor Technology: rotation sensor and pedal force sensorDual Sensor Technology means that there are two sensors on the bike: a rotation sensor and a pedal force sensor that measures the force you exert while pedalling. If you pedal harder, you will receive more assistance, which provides an entirely natural cycling sensation.
