GENERAL PURPORT OR EFFECT OF THE ABOVEMENTIONED STATUTORY RULES

(1) Radiation Protection Amendment Regulations 2014

These regulations amend the Radiation Protection Regulations 2006 by –(a) exempting certain sources of radiation from the operation of the Radiation Protection Act 2005; and(b) omitting certain provisions; and(c) making various miscellaneous amendments of a minor nature.

(2) Residential Tenancy (Smoke Alarms) Amendment Regulations 2014

These regulations amend the Residential Tenancy (Smoke Alarms) Regulations 2012 by prescribing an Australian Standard with which a smoke alarm that is required to be in place in tenanted premises may comply and the requirements for maintenance of such a smoke alarm.
