PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Standing Order No. 83(3)(b)(i) of the House of Representatives that it is intended tointroduce in the House of Representatives the above-mentioned Bill.

2. Notice of the intended introduction of the Bill is being given in the Trinidad and Tobago Gazette and copies of the Bill may bepurchased from the Government Printer.

3. The object of the Bill, among other things, is to repeal and replace the National Ecclesiastical Council of Spiritual BaptistChurches of Trinidad and Tobago and provide for The Ecclesiastical Council of Spiritual Baptist Churches of Trinidad and Tobago of15, Corneillus Street, Los Bajos in order to enable it to hold property and to otherwise carry out its aims and objectives.

4. Updates and upgrades the library in the legal section and maintains a database of legal opinions and judgments for use by thedepartments within the Service Commissions Department.

The Petition of DIALLO JOHN of 92, La Horquette Valley Road, Glencoe, in the island of Trinidad, shows that:

(1) The Petitioner DIALLO JOHN is a person who voted and who had a right to vote at the local government election for theRegion of Diego Martin.

(2) The said election as held on the 26th July, 2010 when ENA ADDLY and SUSAN RODRIGUEZ (the Respondent) werecandidates for the electoral district of Belle Vue/Boissierre No. 1, in the electoral area of Diego Martin, as defined at Part II,Schedule 1, of the Elections and Boundaries (Local Government) Act, Chap. 25:50 of the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago, and on27th July, 2010 the Returning Officer declared that the Respondent received 1,248 votes and the said ENA ADDLY received1,135 votes and the Respondent was declared as being duly elected.

(3) This Petition is presented within 8 days of 3rd August, 2010, such date being the seventh day next following the date on whichthe Returning Officer declared the result of the poll of the electoral district of Belle Vue/Boissierre No. 1, in the electoral area ofDiego Martin as the Returning Officer was required to do by Rule 108(1) of the Election Rules.

Disqualification for election

(4) The said SUSAN RODRIGUEZ is and was at all material times registered as being resident and resident at 44, MistyCrescent, Sunrise Park, Trincity, in the Island of Trinidad, which is in the electoral area of Tunapuna/Piarco, as defined atPart II, Schedule 1, of the Elections and Boundaries (Local Government) Act, Chap. 25:50 of the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago,and pursuant to section 11 of the Municipal Corporations Act, Chap. 25:04 was accordingly not qualified to be a candidate forthe election for the electoral district of Belle Vue/Boissierre No. 1, in the electoral area of Diego Martin, as defined at Part II,Schedule 1, of the Elections and Boundaries (Local Government) Act, Chap. 25:50 of the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Petitioner therefore prays:

1. That a declaration be given that the Respondent is and was disqualified and not qualified to be a candidate and/or to be electedand that her return upon the final count was in any event unlawful.

2. That it may be determined that the Respondent was not duly elected and that the election of the Respondent was void;3. That it may be determined that the candidate ENA ADDLY was duly elected and ought to have been returned;4. That the Petitioner may have such further or other relief the court thinks just.

TENDER FOR THE PURCHASE OF USED AUTOMOTIVE BATTERIES BELONGING TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THEREPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO FOR THE PERIOD 1ST JANUARY, 2011 TO 30TH SEPTEMBER, 2011

TENDERS are invited for the purchase of used automotive batteries belonging to the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobagofor the period 1st January, 2011 to 30th September, 2011.

Tender documents may be obtained during normal working hours at the Central Tenders Board’s Office, 116, Frederick Street,Port-of-Spain. Any further technical information may be obtained from Ms. Allison Buckradee, Environmental Programme Officer I,Environmental Management Authority, 8, Elizabeth Street, St. Clair, Port-of-Spain at Telephone Number 622-9270, Ext. 4250.

Tenders must be accompanied by the following:

(a) valid Income Tax and Value Added Tax Clearance Certificates issued by the Board of Inland Revenue; and

(b) a valid Compliance Certificate issued in accordance with the National Insurance Act.

Tenderers must include in their submission a detailed statement on the method to be employed in handling, sorting and disposingof the used batteries.

The successful tenderer will be required to pay a Performance Deposit or provide a Bond in the sum of five thousand dollars($5,000.00) as a guarantee for the proper performance of the contract.

The tender, on the approved tender form (in duplicate), should be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside:“Tender for the Purchase of Used Automotive Batteries belonging to the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for theperiod 1st January, 2011 to 30th September, 2011” and must be addressed to the Chairman, Central Tenders Board, 116, FrederickStreet, Port-of-Spain. Tenders must be deposited in the Brown Tenders Box located in the lobby of the Board’s Office not later than1.00 p.m. on Thursday 11th November, 2010.

Tenderers should note that the dimensions of the slot on the Tenders Box are 37.5 cm x 5.5 cm and as such, tenders should bepackaged accordingly.

Tenders will be opened publicly at the Board’s Office shortly thereafter. The tenderer or his representative may be present at theopening.

The Board reserves the right to cancel the present notice in its entirety or even partially, without defraying any cost incurred byany tenderer in submitting their tender.

Late tenders will not be considered in any circumstances.
