FROM THE DEANThere is variety and vibrancy of extracurricular life in IITB, You're destined to find worthwhile and meaningful activities to pursue for every year you spend in this campus. And IIT Bombay Sports is one of the more brilliant facets of this life.

While having the the best sports infrastructure and organization amongst all the IITs should not be our only claim to fame, possessing facilities like world-class Multipurpose Hall, an olympic sized Swimming Pool, flood-lit Hockey, Football and Cricket grounds, just to name a few, does help our case.

But more importantly, we cater to all degrees of enthusiasm too. From the most intensive train-ing camps for Inter-IIT, to daily recreational Tennis to playing old-school Sitoliya during specially organised Sports Fests. We, quite honestly, have something for everyone. You could run a cross country race or you could join a skating club or you could live your IPL/EPL dreams by playing in our semester long leagues. As Apple would say, the possibilities are endless.

So come, re-live the years spent on school playgrounds and experience the joy of new found and like-minded friends, the fervour of cheering for your hostel, the ultimate glory of an Inter-IIT medal.

It all begins here, at IIT Bombay Sports.

Points System

1. The red 'queen,' can be pocketed at any time after sinking your first piece but must be sunk before your last one. After pocketing the queen, you must sink one of your carom-men, thereby 'covering' it, into any pocket in the next shot, or she is returned to the center spot. 2 Once the queen is covered, who-ever clears all their carom men first wins the 'board'.

3. The winner of a board collects one point for each of the opponent's carom men left at the finish and three points for the queen if covered by the winner (if covered by the loser, no-one gets those points). A game consists of 15 points or 3 boards, whichever comes first.
