Taking Your ExamThe GCE exams are held in May/June each year. You can check the timetable for your subject(s) from the AQA or Edexcel websites. Please note that you are responsible for arranging to take your exam as an external (private) candidate at a local centre (usually a school or college). Our prices do not include your exam fees.

Start thinking about and choosing your exam centre early in the New Year to ensure that you find a suitable centre and make your booking in good time before the closing date.

You can find a list of centres on the Exam Boards website. Be prepared to travel to take your exam.

Our courses are designed for the AQA (Assessment & Qualifications Alliance) or Edexcel exams. Note that AQA exams are not available to private candidates outside the UK. If you are taking exams with both boards check for possible timetable clashes. Your exam centre will charge you a local fee, that is its own fee, plus an Exam Board fee, which it pays over to your Exam Board. The local element of the cost varies from centre to centre. Allow 100-200 inclusive. We would be very interested to learn about your experience in finding a centre, what you were charged and how well organised the facilities were.
