Up to four recipients will be selected to receive 2-year GEPdtAF Fellowships be- ginning with the July 1998 academic year. GERRAF fellowships provide an annual stipend of $50,000 for 2 years to support original clinical and health services research in tech- nology assessment, health and economic outcome methods, and deci- sion analysis related to diagnostic imaging. Recipients are chosen by an independent review board that comprises eminent academic and clinical radiologists, other physicians, and scholars in related fields. To qualify, prospective GERRAF candidates must be board-certi- fied radiologists holding junior faculty appointments at accredited ra- diology training institutions in the United States or Canada. Final se- lection criteria include the goal and quality of the proposed research project, the level of cooperation and commitment of sponsoring insti- tutions, and the recommendations of mentors and colleagues. Qualifying institutions may nominate one GERRAF candidate each year. Information packages are now being distributed directly to all eligible institutions. The nomination deadline is October 31, 1997. Re- cipients will be announced in February 1998. For more information, contact 11A
