Overview
This update in diagnostic surgical pathology, cytopathology/FNA and immunohistochemistry (IHC), with a format of didactic lecture and case-based presentation, will allow practicing anatomic pathologists to become proficient in the application of diagnostic IHC in different subspecialties and to recognize newly described entities in different organs and how to work up a diagnostic challenging case in both surgical and cytopathology/FNA specimens. The seminar, presented by six international experts (Drs. Joel Greenson, Victor Reuter, Brigette Ronnett, Martha Pitman, Laura Collins and Zubair Baloch) will address frequently asked questions that practicing pathologists encounter in day-to-day practice and help residents and fellows with their specialty board exam preparations.
Topics
Updates on GI, GU, GYN, breast and cytology/FNA
Audience
This seminar is intended primarily for practicing pathologists, fellows,
residents and other healthcare professionals with an interest in pathology
and IHC.

• Demonstrate improvement in diagnostic skills in problematic surgical and
cytopathology/FNA cases
• Describe the applications and pitfalls of newly described IHC markers
• Describe the most important molecular tests in select subspecialty areas
of anatomic pathology
