Dear Mr. Abdul Basically, I will give this reading to you in 3 parts, the part one is about your Birth Sign, purpose of it is to check whether we are reasonably correct in determining the Birth sign and casting the chart. Reading - Part Two

Horoscope

Rashi Chart A horoscope is a two dimensional picture of the sky indicating the positions of the planets and the constellations at the time of birth. The locations of the planets and the constellations, centered over your place of birth at the given date and time are provided in the chart under the heading “Rashi”. The Rashi Chart is the main chart and the Sign of the 1st house of this chart is your “Lagna” or the Birth sign, meaning that it was the sign or the constellation, which was visible at Eastern


horizon at the time of your birth. Lagna in Jyotish system differs about 23 degrees from the Rising sign calculated by Western astrologers. Houses are counted anti clock wise meaning that it is counted in the opposite direction the hands of a clock is moving, example, the first house (or the Eastern horizon) is where the number 12 is in the clock, second house is where 11 is, and 7th house or the western horizon is 6 O’clock and 10th house or the Direct over head is where 3 O’clock is in the watch. If we say that Sun is in the first house, that means the Sun was near the Eastern horizon or in other words a morning birth, If Sun is in 10th house, that means the birth had happened during the daytime when Sun was up overhead in the sky. Sun in 7th house means the birth was in the evening and so on.

Navamsha Chart Navamsha chart is the secondary chart. Each constellation (30 degrees arc) is divided in to 9 portions and Navamsha Lagna indicate which portion of that particular constellation was appearing at the time of birth. It is like mentioning in an address ex. House No. and then the Room No. or the flat number.

The advice of the Sages in analysis and interpretation of a horoscope is to take the Rashi as the flower and the Navamshaka as the fruit or the result of the flower.

How the day is counted Abdul,I think I must first explain you, how a day is counted According to Astrology. For astrological matters, the Day is counted from one sun rise to next sun rise and not from starting at 12 Midnight as we are normally used to. For an example a person born at Monday 4am is still counted as one born at Sunday Night.

You were born on a Thursday. And your birth happened at night. Birth was at night in the bright half of Moon.

THURSDAY Born on this day, a person is a scholar, possesses numerous qualities, wealth, is endowed with beauty, acquires powers (Siddhis, meaning that you are endowed with keen intuition, ability to gain good results from areas such as yoga, meditation, occult ,astrology power of healing etc, but in modern day it can be interpreted as a scholarly or professionally qualified person.) and is loved by his elders.

Born in Vrushika Lagna (Constellation Scorpio) at a moment when Sagittarius (Dhanu) Navamsha of the Lagna had started rising at the Eastern horizon of the place of birth. And this particuler position is called as the Lagna is positioned in Dhanamshaka because, the Navamshaka position is related to the 2nd house in the Rashi Chart.

Manik Chand Jain, in his famous work “Rahu and Ketu” (Moons’s Nodes in Predictive Astrology - Sager Publications, New Delhi, 1994, Chapter 6) Says,

When Rahu is positioned in Cancer, In his past life, the person had suffered many difficult and confining situations. The domestic life was unpleasant and unhappy. In this life the domestic happiness and family cohesion is considered very important and will have a keen interest on those and would like to help those others who are suffering.

Birth Star


Abdul, the meaning of the word “Nakshtra” (Birth Star) is Minor Constellation. Apart from the 12 Major constellations “Mesha” (Aries) to “Meena” (Pisces), there are 27 Minor constellations or “Birth stars” in the sky. When we talk about “Janma Nakshtra”, we are referring to the particular Minor Constellation, where the moon was positioned at the time of birth. Planetary periods or “Dashas” in a Horoscope are calculated according to the position of moon in the Birth Star.

Birth Star is BERANA. Since your “Janma Nakshtra” is “Berana”. Lord of the “Berana” Minor Constellation is “Venus” (Shukra) Therefore born with the Major Period (Maha Dasha) of “Venus” (Venus)in effect.

As I have mentioned earlier Abdul, at the time your of birth, Moon was positioned in the Minor Constellation Bharani (41 Arietes) or “Berana Nakshtra”, which is now your “Janma Nakshtra” or the Birth Star.

Each Minor Constellation (Nakshtra) is divided in to 4 sectors (4 quarters) and a quarter is called a “Nakshtra Pada”.

Born in the forth quarter of Berana. According to the opinion of the sages, those born in the fourth pada, usually gets angry very quickly and are capable of deceiving others to get their job done.

Planetary positions in your horoscope and their meaning to you Now I am going to take you on a guided celestial tour over the sky on your moment of birth describing and showing you the planets, constellations and their positions and at the same time telling you the possible effects of those planetary positions on your life, so that the fullness and the completeness of the reading is maintained.

Abdul, there may be occasions with contradictory remarks under different planetary positions. On those occasions you should remember that the effects are cumulative and the influence of any particular planet is more prominent during the period or the sub period (Dasha ,Anthar Dasha) of that particular planet.

Some people who read their life reading in a hurried manner get confused when they encounter those contradicting remarks. You must understand that the life is full of contradictions. For the purpose of explanation let us take a well known recent example, Saddham Hussain. Is he a good looking powerful man who lived in a palace, a brave heroic leader who was not afraid of the power and might of allied forces or is he a dirty, unshaven, frightened of US forces old man with no friends hiding in a rat hole wearing filthy garments and eating stale food?.

Both are correct. Planets in good powerful positions and placements like exhaled can give wealth ,beauty, power and comforts during the period or the sub period (Dasha ,Anthar Dasha) of that particular planet and once that period is over the things can turn opposite, if the next planet in line under the Dasha system is unfavorably badly placed like debilitated etc.


Therefore, at one moment you could be sad and within a short period you may be full of joy. Good and bad, happiness and sorrow woven together in an entangled and mixed experience called life.

Same thing goes in regard to occupations. At ancient times it was easier. You are either a farmer, warrior, Metallurgist, priest or a doctor. At present it does not work like that Occupations are mixed and the same person can be described as a person good for a number of jobs.

For an example only by looking at the horoscope, how can you describe an Engineering graduate with post graduate qualifications in economics and working as an economist who develops computer based production and sales modeling for a chemical Corporation. If you are expecting such type of predictions, then you will definitely be disappointed. Now we are ready to go through your basic horoscope, which is mainly the “Rashi” chart.

As I have sufficiently explained in part two Abdul, your Lagna is Scorpio and the lord of Lagna is Mars.

Good Periods for you Jupiter (5 th Lord) and Moon (9th Lord) are the Benefic planets for you. Therefore whenever you undergo the Major Periods (Maha Dasha ) or the Sub Periods (Anthar Dashas) of Jupiter and Moon, then at those times you will get more good effects. That is the general rule, provided that Jupiter or Moon were not badly positioned in your Birth Chart or the Navamshaka Birth Chart. Bad Periods for you Mercury ( 11th and 8th Lord), Venus (7 th and 12th Lord) and Mars (6th Lord ) are malfices which may produce trouble during their Major and Sub periods

Lord of the Birth Sign When reading a horoscope a very important place is given to the Lord of the ascendant or the “Lagnadipathi”. Lagna signifies your self and the “Lagnadipathi” the personality.

The lord of the first house Mars, is in the second house in your birth chart. This is a “Dhanayoga” a combination which gives a wealth producing effects. You are very loyal to your family and the family welfare is the first priority in your agenda. You are a efficient person who finds number of different ways to earn money.

Sun Sun is the Lord of the solar system. Sun signifies the heart, blood and the mind of a person and gives the power, agility, longevity, authority and the fame.

Sun is the Yoga karaka the very benificial planet for Scorpio. Sun in the second house. You have the gifted ability of an orator and can convince others through talk and can make you a good salesman or a representative of others. But this combination can cause some minor problems in family life, specially in the way of arguments due to the reason that

you may argue like a lawyer.

Sun in Sagittarius. Sun is beneficial for Sagittarius. Some South Indian Astrologers give such prominence to it many people end up in getting confused with the “Lagna - The Birth Sign or the Ascendant or sometimes with the Western Sun Sign.


You need to remember the difference between the Lagna and the Janma Lagna. It is, that the “Lagna” is the sign that appeared in the eastern horizon of your place of birth at your time of birth and the “Janma Lagna” is the sign where the Moon was located at your time of birth.

North Indian and Sri Lankan Astrologers or the majority of astrologers give prominence to the Lagna in their predictions saying that the Lagna or the Sign which appeared in the East, signifies the person , his physical body and the character, (Thus in short the person who actually is) , thus the “Lagna” should be given more emphasis while some South Indian astrologers say that, the position of the Moon or the “Janma Lagna” signifies the mind and thoughts and it should be the basis of predictions (In Short the person he think who he is or the perception).

I follow the North Indian Tradition, and also believe that that the person who actually is, sometimes can be different from the person who think he/she is, and the person who actually is, more important than the who think that who he is, for an example a person can think that he is very brave and generous, but when the time comes he may prove to be a cowardly and miserly person in the eyes of the others and therefore Lagna is more relevant than the Janma Rashi.

Abdul, Moon is in Aries constellation and therefore they may say that your Janma Rashi is Aries. Meaning that, the Moon is positioned in Aries Sign.

Reading Part Three

Predictions for the future In the preceding sections, I will explain about the bad periods called “Aerashtaka” according to transit of Saturn in relation to the positions of Natal chart and the Moon. And later about the planetary transits in this year and the coming years and predictions on yearly basis according to these transits of planets including Saturn.

How to understand and benefit from the predictions Let me clarify this by an example. Let us take the analogy of how we predict weather. There are basically two or three ways to predict whether and climate in any particular place. One, according to the unique position of that place in the globe, such as Caribbean, North America, Sub Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle East, SE Asia, Out back areas of Australia ect. There are definite and distinct climatic conditions in each of these places which affects the general pattern of the life of a person who live there.

When you compare it to this astrological prediction, it is similar to the first part of the my reading, the predictions in regard to the positioning of planets in the horoscope, such as Sun, Moon, Mars ect. which indicates how the general condition and the pattern of life will flow for that particular individual.

But that is only one part of the prediction because, saying a thing like, “Oh, this person is positioned in Sub Saharan Africa, therefore he must be constantly experiencing water shortages and frequent sand storms” will not be enough, though the above said was a very influential factor in that persons day to day life, there are other conditions also you need to check, for an example the seasonal changes of weather.

Because the pattern of life changes according to the seasons , say summer, good weather , sunny ect. (Similarly according to different planetary periods or dashas the pattern of life changes) , not only seasons, the weather changes according to transit of clouds and winds, reflected in atmospheric pressure changes, low pressure or too much water vapor in air = bad weather, high pressure is associated with anticyclone or generally good weather ect.. Even if it is technically summer or good season, a low pressure system or the transit of clouds and winds, can


modify or change the weather pattern. For an example, even in summer, there could be bad weather with cold and windy periods. Similarly the transit of planets such as, Saturn, Jupiter or Rahu or Ketu over a certain position or a house in the horoscope can modify the general pattern of predictions.

For an example, Saturn’s once in 30 years transit over the 8th house of the horoscope is a bad period called “Ashtama Aerashtaka”, and the Saturn’s transit over the original position of Moon in the horoscope is called “Janma Aerashtaka” and both of these periods are being dreaded by millions of people in Indian Subcontinent because, even if all the other conditions are favorable, it is very rare, that a person can fully escape the bad effects of such a transit. (Ex. Previous president of Sri Lanka Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranayake, she won an election and became the president of the country during one such transit of Saturn. Good ? yes, the cost? her husband Mr. Wijaya Kumaranathunge was killed by a gunman and she also lost left eye due to a bomb attack while she was addressing an election meeting) So good, but rough and tough.

Similarly, in the predictions section of this reading given below, on some occasions Abdul, you will come across contradictory remarks such as good time according to Planetary Periods and Planetary transits, but a bad time according to Ex. Saturn’s position in the Natal Chart. That means if you will do some remedies to take off the bad effects of Saturn then you will get the benefits of the good effects which are told under the Planetary Periods or the Planetary Transit.

If all three or two types of predictions are bad for a said portion of time, then it is a really bad period. Those remedies are called “Upayas” in Vedic astrology. The English meaning is “Evasive action” thus by adopting evasive actions or Upayas, you will be able to avoid the full impact of such a bad planetary effect. Ex. if you take a shield or a body armor to a battle, then you have a fair chance of avoiding being injured or effected by the enemy action than a person without such protection. Similarly, the adoption of Talismans or Yantras or other “Upayas” or evasive actions can drastically reduce the chance of being severely effected by the malefic effects of planets.

Aerashtaka Before telling you about the Planetary transits and Planetary periods or “Dashas”, I will first explain about the bad periods in any persons life called Aerashtaka. and will tell you whether you have such a bad period at this period of time or not.


The time spans called Aerashtakas are the bad periods which occur according to the movement of Saturn in relation to the natal planetary positions and constellations. These are the times when past bad Karmas are comming in to effect and torment you. There are “Janma”, “Lagna” ‘Ashtama” and “Suriya” Aerashtaka periods and the most important are the first mentioned 3. Saturn completes one full cycle in “Rashi Chakra” (12 Zodiac Signs) in 30 years, therefore every person who had lived 30 years had all these aerashtakas once and if 60 years twice.

Lagna Aerashtaka At the moment you have a Lagna Aerashtaka which means that Saturn is moving in your 2nd house from Lagna. Saturn entered your 2nd house from 27th January 2017 will be there until 24th January 2020

Remedies For Bad Planetary Influences Bad Planetary Influence is nothing else than a weak moment in your life when the resulting reactions of the undesirable actions of your past can cause you unpleasantness. A simplified example is: while you are driving very fast, you happen to come in to a stretch of bad road and it is raining. Your tires are bad since, you did not care about those in the past, so just think what can happen when the conditions are right! On the other hand, knowing that conditions are going to be bad by looking at weather forecast or reducing the speed or keeping a proper maintenance schedule could have done a great difference. The numbers mentioned there are the time in minutes and seconds the particular Navamsha (or the one ninth portion of the constellation mentioned in the main chart) had started rising and finished appearing in the eastern horizon within the hour of birth.

4. The big Circular chart is again the Main Rashi Chart, but more accurate and detailed as it shows you a two dimensional picture of the sky at the place and time of birth. Clearly showing the constellation rising at eastern horizon as “Lagna” or the Birth sign and giving the exact positions of the planets. (Left hand side indicated as Lagna is East, Right is West top is over head).

5. In the next row from left to right are the Bhava(House), Droshkana (Decants), Chandra (Moon) and Gochara (Transit) charts.

6. Below it, there is a long table. The abbreviations for the headings are, Lg means lagna, Su means Suriyaor Sun, Ch means Chandra or Moon etc.., R = Retrograde (Vakra), C = Combust (Astha), P = Nakshtra Pada, #lrd/sb = Nakshtra Pada Lord (Adhipathi) and Sub Lord (Upa Adhipathi), Under Dignity - Shown are Ucchha, Neecha Sama.. Etc. Conditions of planets, SB means Sarva Bala, AV 5 shows the Graha Avasta in 5 catagories such as old, youth, infant etc. With this table it is very easy to find information.

Example: Where is the (Upan Nakatha) Janma Nakshtra ? Janma Nakshatra means the Nakshtra or the Sub Constallation moon was in at the time of birth. So look across the 3rd Row of the table where the details of moon (Ch) are given. It shows the degree moon was in, the Rashi, Nakshtra, pada ect.

7. Next box is the Bhava Adipatitha or the Lordships, there L1 means Lord of Rashi 1 or lagna, L2 means the lord of the 2nd house etc.

8. In the next row the first table at the lower left hand corner shows the starting Days of Maha Dasha and Anthar Dasha (Major and Sub periods) according to Vimshottari System we use in Sri Lanka. To find out how many days left from the particular dasha at present, subtract the date of interest from it. In case of a new born child subtract the date of birth from the very first row.


9. The next table and the chart are Pertaining to the ashtakavarga system. Usually the areas with higher values numbers are good. Average is 25. So the houses with more then 25 marks are good.
