Emigration to USA

In 1667 my family emigrated to the United states and settled in Woodbridge, NJ. Even though my family has moved around within NJ from 1667 to now my family still lives in NJ.

Revolutionary War

The Revolutionary War was significant to my family history because there are twenty two recorded members of my family who fought for the American cause.

Horace Mann He was the leader of the public education movement, because of his work my mother, Susan Gottfried, is now able to be the director of Evergreen Community Charter School, which is a public school.

US Involvement in WW1

My great-great grandfather Jesse Lyman Conger fought in WW1 and enlisted as soon as the war began. He was carrying on and would cause others to follow the tradition of joining and fighting for the USA in wars.

WW2 My great-great grandfather Jesse Lyman Conger enlisted in the war. This had a great effect on the entire family because he had several children and a wife to support, this affected me because many of my family members after him followed the tradition of fighting in wars.

AP Classes Began

Thanks to the Cold War and the creation of AP classes I got to do this project and learn all about my family!
