General Guidelines (cont’d)

• The entrance for Daily Mass will be through the church doors and Narthex. To minimize touching surfaces, all doors will be propped open

• For weekend masses, when attendance is expected to be higher, the social hall doors will be used for entry and exit in addition to the church doors. This provides two entry and exit points to help load and unload the church in an expeditious manner

General Guidelines (cont’d)• The church will be loaded from front to back

and unloaded from back to front as directed by the Hospitality Ministers• Keep in mind you may not be able to sit in

your “normal” location• Upon completion of mass you must

remained seated until the HM directs you to exit

• This allows us to get as many people as possible into mass while maintaining all social distancing protocol

• Parishioners should arrive and be prepared for mass at least ten minutes prior to the beginning of mass.

• Please be aware if you arrive after the church has reached capacity, you will be asked to attend at another time

What should I expect upon arrival?

• Things have certainly changed since the last time we saw you!

• We have made some changes to the seating arrangements and the way we will enter and exit the church

• We have changed the way you will receive communion• We have changed the way you can submit your offerings and tithing

• A renewed emphasis will be placed on cleanliness and sanitation efforts

Our mission is dedicated to the spiritual fulfillment and safety of our parish family, friends, and visitors.

We ask if you are unable or unwilling to comply with the prescribed safety guidelines, or you are feeling ill, you refrain from attending mass and enjoy our

livestream from the comfort of your home

Arrival

• Upon arriving to the parking lot, it is recommended you put your mask on after exiting your car.

• As you approach the church keep your family together and ensure you maintain six feet between family units and individuals

• Once you arrive at the building a Hospitality Minister will help direct you to your seats• Hand sanitizer will be available in the

Narthex• A basket will be set up in the Narthex for you

to drop off your tithing envelopes, loose checks, or cash. You can drop them off on your way in or when you exit the church

ArrivalTo facilitate social distancing and minimize contact with surfaces, the following actions have been taken and requirements apply:• Every other pew has been closed and will not be used for seating

• Closed pews are identified by red tape on their ends, a posted sign, and red vinyl tape from end to end

• Kneelers have been tied up and will not be used. During the consecration you can choose to sit or stand, whichever is most comfortable for you

• All missalettes have been removed• Family units will sit together in a manner to ensure the six foot

requirement between other families or individuals• The offertory procession and passing of the collection basket is

suspended. A collection basket will be located in the Narthex• Holy Water fonts will remain empty• The physical exchange of peace is suspended. To offer the sign

of peace simply bow or wave to others• For the time being there will be no choir or altar servers

CommunionPerhaps the biggest change is in the way Holy Communion will be distributed

• Instead of forming a line and approaching the altar, Parishioners will remain at their seats

• The Priest, Deacon and/or Extraordinary Minister will walk down the unoccupied aisles and distribute Communion to you• The Body will be distributed to your hands only. No

distribution on the tongue• The distribution of the Precious Blood is suspended

• The Priest, Deacon and/or Extraordinary Minister will be masked or wearing a face shield during the entire process

• Parishioners, if masked, are asked to remained masked until Father is clear from you. At that time you can lower your mask to consume the Body

• Parishioners who are not masked are asked to wait until Father is clear from you before replying “Amen”

Departure

• Parishioners are required to remain seated after mass until directed to exit by the Hospitality Minister

• We will unload the church from back to front through the same doors you entered.

• On days where attendance is high, the NW and NE exit doors may be utilized to clear the church.

As much as we would love to visit it is very important we clear the church in an expeditious and safe manner.

• This minimizes the time Parishioners remain within relatively close proximately of each other and clears the parking lot for any following masses

• It also allows the staff and volunteers the necessary time to thoroughly clean and sanitize the church in between services

For your safety• The most important measures you can take for your own safety and the safety of

others include:• Keep your hands clean. Wash them for a minimum of 20 seconds before and after mass

• Hand sanitizer is also effective for killing the virus• Wear a mask• Avoid touching your face• Be aware of and adhere to social distancing requirements

• Minimum of six feet between family units and/or individuals• Pay attention and adhere to any and all instructions given to you by the Hospitality

Ministers• Avoid any unnecessary contact with surfaces that may have become contaminated with

the virus• Particularly door handles

• Please keep in mind the Priests, Deacons, Extraordinary Ministers, and Hospitality Ministers are at a higher risk due to their close proximity to multiple individuals.• Even if you do not like to wear a mask, please consider it for their safety.

For your safety• A complete cleaning and disinfection of the church will be performed after each

mass, prior to any subsequent mass• This can be quite challenging especially between closely scheduled masses. As such, your

cooperation is required and greatly appreciated• Enter and exit the church in an efficient and safe manner as directed by the HM. Avoid venturing

into areas you do not need to be. Keep your hands clean.

• For cleaning and sanitizing the church, we use the following products

• Diversey Brand Morning Mist Disinfectant• EPA approved as effective in killing the Covid 19 virus• Neutral pH of 7.0 (when properly diluted) making it safe for use

around people and will not harm the finish on the pews• Sprayed on and allowed to sit for a minimum of ten minutes.

After ten minutes it can be allowed to dry or wiped off.• Clorox wipes

• Used on smaller surfaces such as door handles and water sensitive items like microphones, the organ, and electronics

• Disinfectant soap and water is used to clean all the Sacristan items such as the cruets and chalice

• All vestments and linens are machined washed
