Introduction

We are pleased to inform you that the 16th International Conference on Lyme Borreliosis and other tick-borne diseases will be hosted in Amsterdam on September 5-8th 2021.

This conference is one of the biggest scientifi c events of its kind and is organized only every two or three years. We aim to highlight the latest breakthrough developments, and to jointly discuss the research advances made in the fi eld of ticks and tick-borne diseases, with a focus on Lyme borreliosis, tick-borne encephalitis and other emerging tick-borne diseases.

The topics cover clinical studies, diagnostics, epidemiology, pathogenesis, ecology and tick biology, one health and prevention. The conference primarily focuses on researchers and clinicians working in the fi eld of ticks and tick-borne diseases and also participation of (MD/PhD) students from all over the world will be stimulated by travel grants.

Amsterdam is a vibrant city and its historical center with the characteristic canals ranks amongst the most beautiful of the world.
