BO RE BO LUO MI DUO XIN JING

GUAN ZI ZAI PU SA

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva,

XING SHEN BO RE BO LUO MI DUO SHI

While contemplating the profound Prajnaparamita,

ZHAO JIAN WU YUN JIE KONG

Clearly saw that the five skandhas are empty,

DU YI QIE KU E SHE LI ZI

And thus overcame all ills and suffering. Sariputra,

SE BU YI KONG KONG BU YI SE

Form is no other than emptiness; emptiness is no other than form;

SE JI SHI KONG KONG JI SHI SE

Form is exactly emptiness, emptiness is exactly form.

SHOU XIANG XING SHI YI FU RU SHI

Sensation, perception, volition, consciousness are also such.

SHE LI ZI SHI ZHU FA KONG XIANG

Sariputra, all dharmas are empty of characteristics,

BU SHENG BU MIE BU GOU BU JING

Neither produced nor ceasing; neither contaminated nor pure;

BU ZENG BU JIAN SHI GU KONG ZHONG

neither increasing nor decreasing. So, in emptiness there is

WU SE WU SHOU XIANG XING SHI

no form; no sensation, perception, volition or consciousness,

WU YAN ER BI SHE SHEN YI

No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body or mind,

WU SE SHENG XIANG WEI CHU FA

No form, sound, smell, taste, touch or object of mind.

WU YAN JIE NAI ZHI WU YI SHI JIENo realm of the eye, and so forth, and even no realm of mental

consciousness,

WU WU MING YI WU WU MING JIN NAI ZHI

No ignorance and no cessation of ignorance; up to

WU LAO SI YI WU LAO SHI JIN

No aging and death and no end to aging and death.

WU KU JI MIE DAO WU ZHI YI WU DE

No suffering, cause, cessation, or path. No wisdom or attainment,

YI WU SUO DE GU PU TI SA TUO

As there is no attainment, the bodhisattvas

YI BO RE BO LUO MI DUO GU

Abiding thus in Prajnaparamita

XIN WU GUA AI WU GUA AI GU

Their minds have no hindrance.

WU YOU KONG BU YUAN LI DIAN DAO MENG XIANG

As there is no hindrance, there is no fear, taking them far beyond

inverted views,

JIU JING NIE PAN SAN SHI ZHU FOAnd ultimately nirvana. All Buddhas of the three periods of time

YI BO RE BO LUO MI DUO GU

Thus abide in Prajnaparamita

DE A NIAO DUO LUO SAN MIAO SAN PU TI

And therefore attain anuttara samyak sambodhi.

GU ZHI BO RE BO LUO MI DUO

Therefore, know that the Prajnaparamita

SHI DA SHEN ZHOU SHI DA MING ZHOU

Is the great spiritual mantra, the illuminating mantra,

SHI WU SHANG ZHOU SHI WU DENG DENG ZHOU

The supreme mantra, the unequaled mantra

NENG CHU YI QIE KU ZHEN SHI BU XU

Able to eliminate all suffering. It is true and not false

GU SHUO BO RE BO LUO MI DUO ZHOU

Thus proclaims the Prajnaparamita mantra.

JI SHUO ZHOU YUE Saying thus:

JIE DI JIE DI BO LUO JIE DI

Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha

BO LUO SENG JIE DI PU TI SA PO HE

3 13 MO HE BO RE BO LUO MI DUO (3x)

Maha Prajnaparamita, the Great Perfection of Wisdom.

YI ZHE LI JING ZHU FO

The first, to worship and respect all Buddhas.

ER ZHE CHENG ZAN RU LAI

The second, to praise the Tathagatas.

SAN ZHE GUANG XIU GONG YANG

The third, to cultivate the giving of offerings.

SI ZHE CHAN HUI YE ZHANG

The fourth, to repent all karmic obstructions.

WU ZHE SUEI XI GONG DE

The fifth, to rejoice in the merits of others.

LIU ZHE QING ZHUAN FA LUN

The sixth, to request the turning of the Dharma wheel.

QI ZHE QING FO ZHU SHI

The seventh, to request that the Buddhas dwell in the world.

BA ZHE CHANG SUEI FO XUE

The eighth, to always follow the Buddhas in study.

JIU ZHE HENG SHUN ZHONG SHENG

The ninth, to always harmonize with livings beings.

SHI ZHE PU JIE HUI XIANG

The tenth, to transfer all merits to all others.

All Buddhas of the past, present and future in all quarters.

YI QIE PU SA MO HE SA

All Bodhisattva Mahasattvas.
