President’s Message

Dear Friends,

It is my pleasure to serve as President of the Panhandle-South Plains Fair Association for the

104th edition of our event. We all know that 2020 was a difficult year that brought challenges and

struggles to the world as we know it but we were fortunate enough to have our event with a few

modifications. 2021 seems to be off to a good start and we are already well on our way into the

planning phases for our annual event. The dates for the 2021 Fair are September 24th – October

2nd.

The Fair has been an important part of the Lubbock economy for over 100 years and we invite

everyone out to help continue the tradition. We pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of

attractions for our guests to see at a minimal fee.

Come out enjoy the following: the traditional “agricultural roots” found in our Livestock

Competitions – with over 8 different animal species, our Women’s Building Exhibits – with 8

departments to choose from, Open Crops Exhibits, Agriscience Agricultural Mechanic Exhibits,

and our Children’s Barnyard. The free grounds entertainment provided this year features: Rock-

It the Robot, Wheel of Agriculture Game Show, Pork Chop Revue, Hypnotist Ron Diamond, Pirates

of the Colombian Caribbean, Alistair Barnswallow’s Airship, and Renata the Band. Our carnival

rides will once again be provided by Reithoffer Shows. Come out and take a wild ride on one or

all of the over forty thrilling rides they bring.

While you are here, don’t forget to support the local non-profit organizations that provide all of

the fantastic “fair food”. Several of our food vendors were unable to participate during the 2020

Fair but we are hopeful that all forty of our organizations will be involved this year.

Come join us for great family fun at the Panhandle South Plains Fair September 24 – October 2, 2021. More information can be found at www.southplainsfair.com. See you at the fair. Panhandle South Plains Fair Alan Henry President

The Panhandle South Plains Fair Association reserves the right to pay printed premiums in ratio to net earnings. The Association hopes to pay all premiums in full this year; however, as premiums and all other expenses must be paid from gate and other receipts made from the operation of the Fair itself, this condition is made to put exhibitors on due and legal notice. 3. Any person violating the general or special rules as published in this premium list will forfeit all privileges and premiums won. 4. The Panhandle South Plains Fair Association, its officers, and its employees shall not in any way be held responsible for loss, damage or injury to articles, livestock or person, while same is on the Fairgrounds.
