Ozone disinfection system
When the ozonator module is dosing ozone into the tank, the front LED
(4) will light up. In this case, clients must be clearly informed that water
cannot be consumed until the LED turns off, which will indicate that
ozonation has finished.
Should water be needed while the ozonator is working, let it stand
for 1 minute before drinking.
The connector for the electric control of the dispensing system (9),
provides power supply (240 V 50 Hz) if the ozonation cycle is not working
(front LED off) and cuts it off when the service cycle is working (front
LED on), thus preventing water from being served while the service cycle
is working.

Sanitizing protocol
NeatWork programmefor COLUMBIA cold water dispensers
The specific NeatWork programme for cold water dispensers is
intended to inform our clients about the available methods and
products for the hygienisation and cleaning of our water dispensers
at the point of use.
Necessary materials
"Out of order" sign.
Tools.
Spare parts and consumables according to each model.
Cloths / paper towel.
Vessel for emptying water.
Cooler Clean. Spray Code 289400.
Cooler Clean rinse. 1 Litre with dosing device. Code 289300.
Strips to detect chemical residues Ref. 318701.
Vinyl gloves.
Cotton buds.
Previous warnings
a. The hygienisation must be carried out by skilled technical personnel,
taking into account the appropriate hygienic conditions.
b. The systems need a periodic maintenance in order to guarantee
the quality of produced water.
c. Work in a properly lit area with the appropriate hygienic conditions.
d. Before starting, make sure that you have all necessary tools,
spare parts and components to carry out the maintenance.
e. Do not directly touch with bare hands the components that
are going to be in contact with water. Work using vinyl gloves and/
or clean your hands with hygienising soap as often as necessary.
f. All tools used to hygienise the system must only be used for this
purpose and they must be disinfected before starting this procedure
(use Cooler Clean spray and paper towel).
g. The spare parts for consumables are supplied in bags, which have
been specially designed to guarantee its hygiene during transport.
Take special precautions while handling the consumables after
taking them out of the bags.
Procedure
1. Since systems are usually installed in public places, put a sign
in a visible place of the water dispenser, indicating that it is out of
order.
2. Unplug the water dispenser from the power supply and close the water
inlet valve towards the system.
3. Empty the cold and hot water tanks by using the front dispensers (and
not through the drip cocks).
4. Remove the upper housing, clean the upper side of the tank using the
Cooler Clean spray and paper towel.
5. Remove the lid of the tank and clean the inner side of the lid using the
Cooler Clean spray and paper towel. Put the lid on a clean surface and do
not clean it on the surface or inner components of the system.
6. Pour inside the tank a dose of Cooler Clean 500 every 2 liters of stored
water, according to the water dispenser model (Capacity of the
cold water tank + Capacity of the hot water tank).
7. Make sure to fill up the tank with tap water. To make so, disconnect the

8. Put back the tank lid and wait 30 minutes, in order to allow the
hygienising product to go through the system. Meanwhile, change filters,
make a purge, etc.
9. If the reverse osmosis membrane must be replaced, take out the
membrane (only in systems where the membrane is not inside a capsule),
and pour 20 drops of Cooler Clean inside the empty membrane housing.
Fill up the membrane housing with water and let the product rest
inside for 30 minutes.
The replaced membrane must be thrown away.

10. Rinse the membrane housing with tap water in order to throw away
all the by-products of the hygienisation. Then insert the membrane in the
correct sense, applying previously food-grade glycerine on the o-rings and
lip seals, in order to avoid pinching them.
11. Pay special attention to the hygienisation of faucets. Spray them
inside and outside with Cooler Clean spray and rub the inside with a
cotton bud.
12. Keep the system unplugged from the power supply and with the
inlet valve closed. After the hygienising product has been inside for 30
minutes, empty the tanks using the purge valve (at the rear or at the front,
depending on each model).
13. Rinse the tanks using tap water and empty them through the rear
purge cap. To make so, disconnect the 1/4” inlet tube from the system
and connect it to the tank inlet. (Before connecting it, hygienise the inlet's
end with Cooler Clean spray and paper towel). Open the inlet valve and
let tap water move the by-products of the hygienisation through the purge
valve.
Empty all the water stored in the tanks, at least twice, and check there
are no chemical residues in rejected water. To make so, use the strips to
detect these residues (Code 318701).
Repeat the rinsing process until there are no more chemical residues from
hygienisation in rejected water.

Let tap water flow through the faucets, until making sure there are no
chemical residues from hygienisation left.
Empty all the water contained in the tanks and close the purge valve.
14. Connect the 1/4” inlet tube to the inlet connector of the water
dispenser.
15. Put back all the lids of the water dispenser that have previously been
removed to carry out the maintenance, and plug the system to the power
supply.
16. Empty the tank twice using the hot water tap before the water
dispenser is put back to service, and remove the corresponding warning
sign.
