ThroughModel-BasedDesign,embeddedcontrolsystemdesignteamscanbeginevaluatingsoftwaredesignswithoutusingprototypeproductsandreal-timetargets.TheSimulinkenvironmentforModel-BasedDesignallowsNTCPowertrainengineerstomathematicallymodelthebehaviorofthevehicle,designthesoftwareandmodelitsbehavior,andthensimulatetheentiresystemmodeltoaccuratelypredictandoptimizeperformance.Thesystemmodelbecomesaspecificationfromwhichyoucanautomaticallygeneratereal-timesoftwarefortesting,prototyping,andembeddedimplementation,thusavoidingmanualeffortandreducingthepotentialforerrors.
