Generations of the Shoah International Newsletter May 2019
Dear Members and Friends,
In recent days the world again has watched in horror as worshippers were attacked as they
gathered to pray. This is part of a joint statement issued by the Holocaust Survivors Foundation
(HSF) – USA and GSI in response to the synagogue shooting in California on the last day of
Passover. “Humanity tolerates all such hate, whether overt or disguised, at its peril. We appeal
to everyone in our nation and throughout the world to respect each other as human beings, no
matter our religious or political differences, and make a solemn promise to reject hatred and
intolerance for the sake of each other, our families, and future generations.” We extend our
condolences to the families and friends of the victims of this senseless shooting.
As we continue to observe the Days of Remembrance, we reflect on the victims and survivors of
the Holocaust. In the Upcoming Events section below we have a listing of commemoration
events this month.
Thank you,
