Geography Revision Guide The topics you are required to revise for your Year 8 Skills Test in Geography make up the basis of your Key Stage 3 Geography course at Weatherhead. Some of the sections included in your revision guide are being studied in Year 8, and some of the topics were studied during year 7 so you will already be familiar with them. The list of key spellings include words that you have studied, or will study, and also of geographical words that are commonly misspelled by Key Stage 3 students across the UK. Directions: The compass rose below shows the 4 cardinal (main) and 4 ordinal (secondary) directions. You should be able to name them, label them and calculate their opposing direction e.g. the direction immediately opposite North is South.

Geography Revision Guide

The topics you are required to revise for your Year 8 Skills Test in Geography make up the basis

of your Key Stage 3 Geography course at Weatherhead. Some of the sections included in your

revision guide are being studied in Year 8, and some of the topics were studied during year 7 so

you will already be familiar with them. The list of key spellings include words that you have
