Geological Modeling – Stratiform Deposits

Coralis Geological Modeling software application for stratiform deposits provides a quick and efficient

solution to mining professionals who need to deterministically manage stratifom deposit. When used

with the Coralis Pit and Dump Design application, it indicates the volume for each type of mineral.

FEATURES

1 - Survey Data Management

CORALIS’ Survey Data Management application works via Microsoft MS-ACCESS or SQL-SERVER

databases. Using CORALIS graphic core features, this application also provides all the necessary features

of a dedicated geographic information system which can automatically find:

- Drill-hole or borehole data from a click on the map.

- The location on the map for any survey data.

- Any sample identified in a section.

Survey Data Management records three types of data linked to a group of parameters:

- Grade data coming from

geochemical analysis;

- Lithology information;

- Horizons data for

stratigraphic data

management.

2 - Geological Modeling

The layer or geological body is defined by 2 areas (without overhang) which determine the top and the

wall of that body.

An area (top or wall) can be acquired from:

- A model originating from the Pit and Dump Design application (isohypse, survey interpolation,

plans, …)

- A specific altitude;

- A reference to another layer (top or wall).

This application allows managing a maximum of 36 layers and offers the following features:

- Model creation and set-up;

- Outcrop map calculation;

- Project volume calculation with quantity breakdown in each mined layer.

- Cross-sections calculation and editing.
