1.0 INTRODUCTION;

In December of 1996, a program of linecutting and geophysical

surveys was carried out on the Oxbow Lake Property held by

John A. Gore of Ruby St., Cobalt , Ontario POJ ICO. The

linecutting work was done by John Gore while the geophysical

surveying was executed by Robert Sanderson and Brian Youngs

(Meegwich Inc.). The work was reported on by David Laronde of

Meegwich Inc. 407 Lakeshore Drive, P.O. Box 482, Temagami,

Ontario POH 2HO. Dates worked were Dec. 18,19,20,21 1996.

A total of 6.050 km of new linecutting was added on to the existing

5.525 km "grid A" for a total of 11.575 km. The grid is referenced

from a 1.9 km long baseline trending O degrees from 1200 West to

700 East. A claim post was located at 225 S, 250 E and used to

reference a starting point for the baseline.

2.0 PROPERTY;

The property consists of 2 claims in South Lorrain Twp. which is

not a surveyed township however many of the old patents and leases

in the area were surveyed. The total area of the property is

approximately 256 hectares. The claims are described as follows:

Claim No. 1118544 6 units 96 hectares

Claim No. 1118450 10 units 160 hectares

The topography on the property is typically rugged for this area

which is known for its diabase ridges and cliffs. The vegetation is a

mixture of poplar, spruce, jack pine and birch. Thick balsam bush

can be found on some slopes. Sources of water for drilling are

abundant from swamps and Oxbow Lake is only 350 meters north of

the baseline at 800 West.

3.0 LOCATION AND ACCESS:

The property is situated to the south and also to the east of Oxbow

Lake, South Lorrain Twp., some 30 km southeast of the town of

Cobalt, Ontario which itself is approximately 160 km north of the

city of North Bay, Ontario. Lake Temiskaming is only 3 km to the

east.

The property is accessed from Hwy. 567 which runs south from

Hwy. l IB at North Cobalt, Ontario. An old bush road which now

serves as an ATV trail or snowmobile trail connects with Hwy. 567

just south of Maidens Lake then winds its way 21/2 miles to a

point 200 meters from the east end of L 400 S.

4.0 GEOLOGIC SETTING;

The property is underlain by Archean volcanics for the most part.

Nipissing diabase (gabbro) is predominant in the northwest corner of

the claims near Oxbow Lake. Coleman member sediments are found

along the south boundary of the surveyed area.

5.0 SUMMARY OF PAST EXPLORATION:

The area has been the centre of a major old style prospecting

initiative in search of silver beginning around 1907 when silver was

first discovered at the Silver Centre Mining Camp 2 miles north.

There were countless trenches, pits, and shallow shafts dug into the

bedrock nearly everywhere in the camp. This property was not

excluded from that era of excavating by hand. Numerous trenches

and shafts exist on the property at many different angles. Records

show a defunct company, Silver Town Mines Ltd., worked on this

ground back in the silver era.

Following the cessation of the silver quest, the area lay dormant then

a 20 year land caution was filed where no work had to be done to

keep up existing claims and staking was not allowed. The caution

was removed in South Lorrain Twp. a few years ago and work

began again for the metal cobalt and more recently gold and base

metals. Enter a new era of prospecting with new geological

concepts. Most recent work is targeting base metals in the volcanics.

6.0 MAGNETOMETER SURVEY:

In this round of surveying a total of 6.050 km was surveyed (484

readings) at 12.5 meter stations on lines spaced at 100 meters. The

sensor was mounted on a 7 ft. aluminium staff to ensure a constant

elevation throughout the survey.

6.1 Instrumentation: A Gem Systems magnetometer was used

for the field survey. An EDA base station was set up to monitor

and correct for the diurnal variation during the course of the survey.

These instruments are micro-processor based and measure the earth's

total magnetic field to an accuracy of one-tenth of a gamma.

6.2 Survey Results: The results are presented in plan contour

form at 1:5000 scale. 57,000 gammas is subtracted from all readings

to facilitate plotting of results.

Basically, there are 3 features that stand out well over an otherwise

flat background of 300 gammas. The most predominant feature is a

massive high covering the southeastern part of the grid. Values

range up to 8000 gammas over background. This massive high is

Meegwich Consultants Inc. P.O. Box 482, Temagami, Ontario POH 2HO TeL (705) 569-2904 Fax. (705) 569-2817

flanked to the north by a low trending east west. This low is linear

spanning the width of the grid at 300 N on L 3,4,5,6,7 E before

continuing off in both east and west directions.

In the northwest section of the grid is another massive magnetic high

but not nearly as intense as the aforementioned. This feature is only

300-500 gammas above background. From this unit a dike shaped

high is outlined heading due south on L 600 and 700 W.

7.0 VLF-EM Survey:

A total of 5.25 km were surveyed (210 readings) at 25 meter

intervals on lines spaced at 100 meters. The transmitting station was

Cutler, Maine emitting a 24.0 kHz. signal.

7.1 Instrumentation; A Geonics EM-16 VLF receiver ser. no.

10591 was used for the survey. This instrument measures the

in-phase and quadrature components of the vertical magnetic field as

a percentage of the horizontal primary field. The resolution of the

EM-16 is +/-l%.

7.2 Survey Results: The results are presented in profile format at

1:5000 scale. The profile scale used was l cm. = 2096. Conductor

axis are highlighted on the maps.

Oxbow Lake "Grid A" Page 8

The survey revealed 9 conductors that trend more or less east-west.

Of these conductors the following points are noted:

Conductor J appears to be on strike with the 75 ft. deep shaft

located on L847W. Conductor H has a "metallic" signature to it on

L 500 E at 375 N and on L 400 E at 425 N. Conductor I is co

incident with a swamp and is a strong conductor typical of a well

defined fault. The remaining conductors are weak and may reflect

non-metallic sources such as water filled shears and conductive

overburden. Metallic content should not be ruled out entirely

however the EM response looks non-metallic. Conductors C and

D are not within swampy areas therefore the cause looks like

shearing. The trend of these conductors may be indicative of

bedrock shearing.

Topographic data on the conductors are listed below:

7.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:

The massive magnetic feature covering the southeast corner of the

grid looks like an ultramafic intrusive with highly magnetic (8000

gamma highs) mineralization such as phrrhotite and magnetite. The

low flanking this intrusive to the north is probably part of the

intrusive instead of a fault zone since there is no co-incident strong

VLF response. The high magnetics in the northwest section of the

grid correlates with diabase. The high trending south from this area

on L 600 and 700 W could be diabase as well but not as massive.

In fact, the magnetics in this area are somewhat irregular by nature

which in turn suggests a "mixture" of the rock types due to

incompetence (fracturing) in the host geology.

Conductor H warrants investigation as the cause. It has a metallic

signature to it and although it is in a wet area it should still be

followed up. Conductor I is the same to a certain extent. It has

the makings of a metallic conductor but other indicators point

towards a fault zone as the cause.

Oxbow Lake "Grid A" Page 10

An induced polarization survey is recommended to test conductors H

and I on L 400 and 500 E. For proper coverage the lines would

have to be extended 300 meters to the north.
