AaAnhinga-Can be found in freshwater or pond where there is thick vegetation.
BbBlue Dasher Dragonfly-Thisdragonfly can be found near lakes, ponds and slow streams.
CcCottonmouth Water Moccasin-These snakes can be found in the Coastal Plains near freshwater habitats, cypress swamps, river floodplains, and heavily-vegetated wetlands.
DdDiamond back Terrapins- Will always stay near saltwater or brackish water and can be found in coastal marshes, tidal flats, coves, and barrier beaches.
EeEgret- The Snowy Egret can be found in marshes, swamps, shorelines, mudflats and ponds.
FfFiddler Crab- Can be found in sandy and muddy areas of wet land that are covered by the ocean at high tide.
GgGreen Tree Frogs- Green tree frogs are common in Georgia and can be found most nights near porch lights looking for insects.
HhHerring Gull-usually nests in colonies near water on coasts, islands and cliffs. It feeds at sea and on beaches, mudflats, lakes, and rivers.
IiIbis-Prefers coastal salt marshes, swamps, and mangroves.
JjThere are two types of Jellyfish that live off the coast of Georgia, the Cannonball and the Moon Jelly.
KkKatydid- Often lives in forests, thickets, or fields with lots of shrubs or trees
LlLoggerhead Turtle-It may be found hundreds of miles out to sea, as well of the coast of Georgia. They often nest on the state beaches.
MmMarsh Rabbit- Commonly lives brackish and freshwater marshes, mainly of cattails and cypress.
NnNorthern cricket frogs- Are generally found in the Piedmont and Mountains.
OoOystercatcher-One of the most colorful coastal birds, makes its home on Georgia's beach flats.
PpPainted Bunting- makes its home in open brush lands, thickets, and scattered woodlands. Along Atlantic coast.
QqQuail- The Northern Quail is Georgia's state game bird and is featured on one of Georgia's wildlife license plates.
RrRed Cockaded Woodpecker- It preferences to make it’s home in Open pine forest, especially longleaf pine forests.
SsSouthern Two-lined Salamanders are often found along the banks of free-flowing creeks and streams.
TtTarpons- Can be found in both salt and freshwater habitats. The Atlantic tarpon lives off the coast of Georgia in the Atlantic Ocean .
UuUlher’s Sundragon- Will make its home near Small, cool forest streams with sandy bottoms.
VvVariegated Fritillary Butterfly- Is often found in open, disturbed habitats such as clover and alfalfa fields, pastures, fields, waste areas, roadsides, and mountain meadows.
WwWhitetail Deer- Are found in all habitats in Georgia. They prefer habitat where there are lots of different kinds of plants to eat.
XxXiphosuran is just another word for Horseshoe Crab, it makes its home off the Atlantic coast of Georgia.
YyYellow-Breasted Chat- Likes habitats with very thick thickets and brush.
ZzZebra Swallowtail- Can be found in Woodlands, forest margins, scrub, waterways, roadsides pastures and gardens.
