The Summer Leadership Conference brings together FAIA members from across the stateto plan for the upcoming fiscal year. Members looking to become more engaged with FAIAcan participate by volunteering on a number of councils and committees, or by sitting inon any of the meetings hosted during the conference. There is no cost to attend, but youmust register in advance.

Changes to Workers' CompensationApplication

As a result of FAIA's advocacy efforts during the 2019 Florida Legislative Session, agentsare no longer required to have Workers' Compensation Applicationsnotarized. Starting July 1, there is a new version of the ACORD 130 FL that does not requiresignatures to be notarized and agents should begin using the new version of the ACORD130 FL with a revision date of 2019/07.

Beginning every year in July, the FAIA Young Agents Council holds a school-supply driveto help give Florida students a smart start back to school. Supplies collected, including(but not limited to) backpacks, pencils, pens, calculators, computers, and notebooks, canbe dropped off at several volunteer agencies in each zone. From there, the supplies aredelivered to designated non-profit organizations.
