Outline of the Day
We are delighted to welcome you to Cardiff University and toprovide you with an opportunity to find out more about whatpostgraduate life is like at one of Britain’s leadinguniversities. The following information will help you plan yourday so that you can make the most of your time with us.
Key InformationLocation
All activities will take place in theStudents’ Union, Park Place (CF10 3QN).There is paid on-street parking in the areaand the nearest multi-storey car park ison Greyfriars Road (CF10 3AE).
Registration
Registration opens at 11am in the GreatHall. You will need to check in, which willbe quicker with your Eventbrite ticket, andcollect your Welcome Pack. This willprovide you with information about theevent and enable you to enter our prizedraw for a chance to win £50 (see page 6for more information).
Visitors with specific needs
If you have mobility requirements, pleaseapproach a member of staff, who will behappy to assist you. Venues are fullyaccessible and we have a limited numberof parking spaces for visitors with mobilityissues. These spaces can be reserved atthe time of booking or by contacting ouroffice (see page 6). If you have anyqueries regarding provision for studentswith disabilities, medical conditions orlearning difficulties, please visit ourStudent Support stand.
Safety
Please adhere to all warning noticesand instructions from staff during theday. In case of emergency, or if youbecome unwell during the event, pleasecontact the nearest member of staffimmediately. In the event of a firealarm, staff will evacuate visitors. If youhave any difficulties leaving thebuilding, they will be able to assist you.Please be aware that the lifts shouldnot be used in the event of a fire.
