What is the National Disability
Insurance Scheme? (NDIS)

It is a new way of helping people to get
the services they want.
The money for services will be run by the
National Disability
Insurance Agency (NDIA)

how money is spent to help
you do what you want.

Yes you get to ask for what you want. But
the NDIA may not give you ever all you
want. They will only give what You what
they think is “reasonable and necessary “.

You may have to fill in some forms and
sign some papers

You can ask for an advocate. This is
someone who will help you.
WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE PLAN?

If you are not happy with the plan
you can ask to change it.
But you must make the changes
with in the first three months.
