Used by members to support daily decision-making and identify future opportunities, the DOB delivers essential insight on M&A activity, market trends, drilling plans, oilsands development, technology advances, regulatory changes and much more.

The DOB is accessed through daily email alerts and a members only website.

The DOB also publishes comprehensive industry data sets. This data is presented through interactive dashboards, reports and maps.

Key insights and analysis are provided by the DOB’s team of experienced editors, reporters and expert contributors.

A digital-only publication, the full version of the DOB is available on both mobile devices and desktops, with daily news accessed right at your fingertips using the new DOB app.

Three daily briefings, breaking news alerts, as well as new, topic-specific newsletters round out our offering.

What is the Daily Oil Bulletin?

1. Upon sign-up, you will automatically be subscribed to all four DOB emails. At any time you can update or change the emails you are receiving through the Email Preference Centre. To change your DOB email preferences:

I. Access any DOB email in your inbox.

II. At the bottom of the email, in the footer, click on the refine your preference link.

III. Simply turn the toggle for each email option to ON or OFF depending on your preference. DOB emails include:

Morning Briefing (sent at 6:30 a.m. MST each weekday), an early morning summary of the latest oil and gas news.

Today’s Headlines (sent at 12 p.m. MST each weekday), an overview of today’s top news. Subscribers also receive Breaking News.

Market Briefing (sent at 4 p.m. MST each weekday), an end-of-day recap of key market and price info.

Weekly Review (sent every Thursday p.m.), compiling the best material from the week.

IV. When you are done, click Save Preferences and use the Return To Website should you want to view the latest DOB news.

inbox, you may wish to add [email protected] to

your safe senders list.

2. To change your password, select My DOB in the top right corner of the website, followed by User Profile. Select Change Password in the blue box and follow the steps.

Click on Today’s Headlines from the main navigation bar to view a complete list of all articles published on a particular day. Previous issues can be found here, too.

The new DOB has created key content sections, pulling together related articles and data in one place. This includes section specific Latest News, data and tools right from the main navigation menu.

Each section homepage provides a high-level view of related information right at your fingertips. Users can dive deeper into the content by clicking on the headlines or links.

Dashboard and map.

Identify where producers are focusing their drilling budgets and which formations have the most attention. Identify business development opportunities by:

• Using the spud activity dashboard to segment by area, depth and formation

• Accessing the spud activity map which contains full individual well information

6. Pricing

Report and dashboard.

Access an archive of daily oil and gas prices. You can also click through to our Oil and Gas Prices Dashboard to view trends.

7. Top Operator

Report.

Quarterly report on the top producers based on rig releases, sorted by province.

Maps The DOB publishes three maps that provide opportunity leads: an Assets for Sale map, a Daily Well Licence map and a Daily Spud Activity map.

Daily Spud Activity mapView all new spuds each day. Select dates using calendar function. Get details such as operator, contractor, projected zone, objective and class.

Daily Well Licence mapView all new well licences issued each day. Select dates using calendar funciton. Get details such as operator, projected zone, depth, objective and class.

Assets for Sale mapAn interactive map-based interface displaying oil and gas assets for acquisition or trade (royalty, production, land). Members can perform searches, filter by posting date and create asset lists. Asset data is supplied by CanOils (a JWN Energy product).

Project Leads Key business intelligence and project leads through the POST Report. Sort by area, operator, date and value.

Plays The new DOB offers the most extensive Canadian and U.S. plays coverage anywhere. Separated into each individual play, members have direct access to the latest play news right at their fingertips. Data and rig activity will be added for key plays in early 2019.
