Letter from the President
Letter from the General Manager
Dear Members of GCC,The holiday season is upon us, and I wanted to give you an update on the happenings at GCC. Will Davis and his staff have been hard at work restoring the club after Hurricane Irene. Thanks to all the staff (and volunteers) who helped clean up the club after the storm, you did a great job! We move into the fall and winter with the golf course in great shape and lots of play on the tennis courts. Dining has picked up recently and we have had some great events out at the club, including a great oyster roast and Halloween party. The board is working on our plans for 2012 and beyond. We should have some exciting plans fi nal-ized soon. We will be focusing on updating our golf course and streamlining our operations in an effort to become more effi cient in servicing our membership. Our golf, tennis, house/pool, and social committees have come up with some great ideas recently, and we hope to move forward with some of these ideas very soon. Thanks to all the members who have served on these valuable committees. Please remember to bring your friends out to GCC and encourage them to join! Recruiting new members is the lifeblood of any club, and GCC is no different. We welcomed many new members in 2011 thanks in large part to referrals from our current members. We need your help to continue to grow. Will Davis, our general manager, will be happy to show any prospective member around and treat them to lunch or round of golf. Please give Will a call if you know a prospective member and need more information. Finally, the holiday season is a great time to enjoy the club. There will be a number of special events at the club before the New Year. Please take the time to come out for a round of golf, play some tennis, and dine with us. Bring the family and make a day of it! We welcome you and your family to enjoy the holidays with GCC!Please call on any member of the GCC staff if you need assistance. Our staff members are our great-est asset and are here to serve you. Let them make your next visit to GCC a special one. Happy Holidays to everyone and I look forward to seeing you at the club soon.Regards,Ben Parrott, GCC President
Happy holidays! We have numerous activities planned for the holiday season for the entire family! I urge you to make reservations soon as we foresee many of these events selling out quickly.
On behalf of the entire Greenville Country Club staff, I would like to extend to you our deepest ap-preciation for your contribution to the Christmas Fund. It truly means a great deal, especially to those whom you may not see every day, working hard to make GCC great! Here are just a few depart-ments who benefi ted from your generosity: the Golf Maintenance Crew, Golf Attendants, and Wait & Kitchen Staff.
As always, your suggestions are welcomed and encouraged. Please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] or just pick up the phone and call me. May you and your entire family enjoy a safe and happy holiday season!
Will Davis, CCM
