Finland is internationally known for its pristine nature, modern design and cutting-edge techno-logy. The living environment has always been of great significance to Finnish people, which exp-lains why sustainable development is one of the key principles guiding our operations. We design buildings, spaces and services that combine com-mercial and functional elements with energy ef-ficiency and ecological materials. We utilise the latest information and audiovisual technology available in our space solutions. Our design staff makes decisions every day that affect the well-being of people and the environment.

Our design decisions have far-reaching con-sequences, meaning that we have a great res-ponsibility in many respects. GI | 2008 | RESTAURANTS | HELSINKI, FINLAND | 2 000 m²

NOKIAThe Project brief was that the old staff cafeteria need-ed more customer seats and more space for the ser-vice points, due to increase in staff levels, within the existing area. The re-design and re-planning allowed the cafeteria to achieve more customer seats, double the amount of cashier desks, less of cafeteria, more like a restaurant - a warm ambience and comfortable meeting point.

The restaurant was completely refurbished and has 278 customer seats.

Interior and visual designTotal area approximately 600 m²
