Dr. Rassati specializes in structural engineering, and focuses on experimental and numerical studies of
steel and steel-concrete composite structures for seismic resistance. He is the director of the graduate
program in Civil Engineering. He is active nationally with the Structural Engineering Institute of the
American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the Research Council on
Structural Connections, and ASTM International.
