Gibraltar Airport Gibraltar is a small British territory at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. It was ceded by Spain to the Crown of Great Britain in perpetuity, under the 1713 Treaty of Utrecht. The territory covers 6.843 sq km. (1690 acres) !
