This year’s event promises to be the biggest ever! Throughout the two days, girls will solve a “Who Done It?” mystery by taking fingerprints, investigating trace evidence, and analyzing crime scene elements. Conowingo Chillin'Session 1

Relax while learning tips and techniques for taking care of yourself. Girls will pamper themselves by turning their unit into a camp spa. Listen to soothing music, learn about healthy eating, make natural beauty products, do yoga and more. Girls will also spend time enjoying camp activities like crafts, hikes and campfires.

Bull’s Eye! Session 1 & 8

Take aim with your new friends during this week long archery session. You will start target practice, advancing to fun games like paint archery & distance competitions created by you! You can even take time to relax and enjoy some other fun camp activities.

Conowingo CSISession 2

Grab your crime tape and magnifying glass, and use your detective skills to perform a camp scene investigation. Use science, technology and your intuition to analyze clues, examine fingerprints, question witnesses and decode a secret message that might lead you to the thief. When you need a break, visit the pool for a swim, climb the rockwall or try a new tie-dye pattern in arts and crafts.

Goblet of Camp FireSession 2

Try your hand at potions & charms, experience Quidditch camp style, make wands and participate in wizard duels. Take a break to watch a Harry Potter movie with some popcorn and participate in your favorite camp activities like swimming, campfires and more!

Guppy GulchSession 2 & 6

Enjoy spending your days at the gulch trying extreme water activities like riding the kayak luge, snorkeling with aquatic life, zip lining into the beautiful quarry water, climbing the floating wall and tons more. Then, spend your night at the gulch relaxing with your group and preparing for the next day’s adventures. When your trip is over, come back to Conowingo and enjoy all of your favorite camp activities too!

Theater in the WoodsSession 2

Dress up for an evening at the Dutch Apple Theater and watch a performance of Peter Pan. Back at camp, perform your own mini-play at the Creativity Show! Take a break from play practice to enjoy the great outdoors and other camp activities.

Make waves during this week of water activities. Try canoeing, creek hikes, Slip ‘n’ Slide and sprinkler games. Take a leisurely floating lunch and enjoy a sunset swim in the pool.

Spend one night in our hammocks before heading into the woods for an overnight backpacking adventure into the unchartered Conowingo acres. Are you tough enough for this adventure? (No Hiking packs needed for this program)

iKayakSession 4

You will start your adventure by learning all the basics of kayaking on flat water, performing rescue and safety techniques, and practicing paddle strokes. Then you will go off camp to enjoy the panoramic views as you paddle and explore local waterways. If your arms need a rest, you can relax and participate in other camp activities such as arts and crafts and swimming.

H2O ExplosionSession 4

This week is all about the amphibious life, and girls will do just about everything but sleep in the water. Pack up a picnic and have a floating lunch on the Conowingo Creek, canoe on the lagoon and enjoy the giant Slip’n’Slide. Girls will team up for the best water balloon contest of the summer. Go on a creek hike, swim twice a day and even choose to get up early for a polar bear swim or take an evening sunset float!

Rocks, Ropes & RappellingSession 4

Spend adventure-filled days at Rocks State Park learning knot tying, belaying techniques, climbing movements and having a total blast! At the end of the day, cool off in the pool and relax around the campfire with your new friends.

Zombie InvasionSession 5

Imagine this: your small band of campers is all that’s left of civilization. Learn how to hide in the woods, identify edible plants, clean water with the sun, build shelter and more. Be careful, zombies are lurking!

Trail BlazersSession 5

Improve your abilities to mount, dismount, lead, walk, trot and turn the horse on command while you enjoy this program. You will spend all morning at the barn learning having ground lessons ring lessons (weather permitting). When you are not on horseback you will have time for swimming, arts, nature and sports! Depending on the skills of the riders and the weather, you will even get to go on a trail ride. Riders must have previous riding experience.

Cast Iron Chef Season Eight! Session 5 & 7

Try new cuisines, cook meals and learn new techniques to become Conowingo’s Season Seven Cast Iron Chef! You will face challenges and mystery ingredients that you must use in your judged dish. At the end of the week, you'll host a culinary tasting tour in hopes of winning the Cast Iron Chef title. And when not in competition, cool off in the pool and enjoy other camp activities.

Camp KatnissSession 6

Come to Conowingo and get in touch with your inner Katniss. Spend your week perfecting your aim in archery and enhancing your survival skills. Pay close attention as you learn valuable tips in fire building, first aid, plant identification, shelter construction and camouflaging. Keep the odds in your favor as you conquer obstacles you never imagined you could! Optional: Come dressed as a tribute or as your favorite character.

Super Hero Academy Session 6

Get ready for an adventure of heroic proportions! You will become the superhero or super villain of your dreams and dress the part too! You will design logos, masks and more to create the perfect secret identity. Throughout the week, you will use your super powers to discover your own personal “super self,” as you save innocent civilians in daring high ropes rescues or perform epic kitchen raid heists!

Best-o-WingoSession 7

Can't decide? Then maybe take a corral ride, learn archery and canoe basics. Challenge yourself 40 feet in the air on the flying squirrel and climb the rock wall. And, don’t forget the swimming! If you’re the active outdoor type, this is the one for you!

The Pennsylvania ExpeditionSession 7

Spend your nights at camp, and your days exploring Pennsylvania Dutch Country. You’ll tour a farm; learn about Amish culture, take a buggy ride, see how pretzels are made, visit the Strasburg Creamery, ride roller coasters at Hersheypark and more!

Choose Your OwnSession 8

Spend this week deciding with your group what you would like to do. Choose from all the activities Conowingo has to offer. You could be rock climbing in the morning, canoeing in the afternoon and horseback riding into the early evening. Or, you could be on the ropes course for a while, take a break in the pool and then do arts and crafts. It is up to you to create your own adventure this week!

Project FunwaySession 8

Learn to make your own jewelry. You will also make your own candles, learn scrapbooking tips and make your own lip-gloss. At the end of the week display all your pieces at the Camp Conowingo gallery for all to see. When you need a break, no worries, you can head over to the pool, ropes course or just enjoy nature!

Girl Scout Cadettes will rotate through core activities each day, in addition to the specific unit themed activities for the week. Core activities generally make up five of the seven program sessions each day, and may include swimming, arts and crafts, ropes course, rockwall climbing and nature exploration. In remaining sessions, girls work toward unit goals and themed activities. At the end of each week, a sheet will be sent home with your camper explaining activities they completed that may relate to badge or Journey work.

RIDING CAMPAll Sessions | For girls in grades 4-12

At Riding Camp, girls will experience the joy and adventure of English horseback riding in a safe and comfortable environment under the supervision of Conowingo’s equestrian staff. For more information about Riding Camp, please visit gscm.org.
