March Meeting — Make your Reservation
Spring is my favorite season of
the year. After the cold and
dreary days of winter, all of us
will be happy to celebrate the
arrival of spring. The English
poet Wordsworth inspires us
wi th these l ines f rom
―Daffodils‖: I WANDER’D
lonely as a cloud That floats
on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a
crowd, A host, of golden
daffodils; Beside the lake,
beneath the trees, Fluttering
and dancing in the breeze.
Tina Combs and I participated
in the Lobby Day on February
1st in Frankfort.
In February, our Public Rela-
tions Committee, chaired by
Lisa Simpson-Strange had an
outstanding program. Our
speaker, Rachel Walston,
spoke to the members on the
―Care and Feeding of your
Media Friends‖. Tina Combs
and Krissie Coe Fields partici-
pated in the Professional De-
velopment speak-off with Tina
Combs taking top honors. It
was powerful and the compe-
tition was very strong. Tina
will represent us at Regional.
I want to thank all 45 Glasgow
B&PW members who at-
tended the third Women’s
Conference. It was a great
day of fellowship and net-
working. Also, I want to thank
Diana Hatcher and Rogers &
Driver Attorneys At Law for
sponsoring the red scarves
for the 45 ladies who at-
tended the conference.
We look forward to all the
