The MicroXTCT (uXTCT) Preamp in the Swordtail Tailpiece provides 3 band tone control – Bass andTreble boost and cut are controlled by convenient stacked knobs, and Mid cut is set by an internaltrimmer. The Swordtail features 2 inputs as RCA jacks which can be balanced with a Blend control.The system has a standard ¼” output jack and Master Volume control. The switch can be used tobypass the preamp for a passive output of the Upper Input only. The system is powered directly bya 9V battery which will last for up to a year of typical use.

The frequency response wasdeveloped specifically for violin to reduce unwanted noise, undesirable overtones, and distortion.The system has a standard ¼” output jack and Master Volume control. The system is powereddirectly by 2 AAA batteries which will last for up to a year of typical use and provide a lowimpedance output at up to 9V.
