6 Functions 6.1 Voice call When the glasses are connected to a phone they enable you to take calls. Upon receiving a call the glasses will play your ringtone. You can accept the call by pressing the multi-function button. End the call by again pressing the multi-function button again.

Side note: Declining an incoming call is not implemented yet.

6.2 Audio listening The glasses can play music that is played on your Bluetooth device (like a smartphone or a Bluetooth-enabled portable music player). You can start and stop the music from both your Bluetooth device and from the glasses. Press the multi-function button to toggle play/pause.

If you listen to music and receive an incoming call at the same time, the music will automatically pause. After ending the call, the music will automatically start again.

6.3 Battery low

During music playback, the battery will last more than 1 hour. The glasses will emit a warning sound approximately 5 minutes before the battery is depleted, and the LED will blink slowly. When the battery is depleted, the shutdown sequence will automatically initiate and the glasses will play the downwards melody to confirm shutdown.

6.4 Charging To recharge the battery, plug a Micro USB cable in the Micro USB slot located on the right temple and connect it to a suitable power supply (any powered USB outlet will do, as will any USB power supply). The glasses will automatically turn off (if they haven’t been turned off beforehand) and go into charging mode, shown by the blinking LED. As soon as the battery is completely recharged, the LED stops blinking and illuminates constantly.

6.5 Bluetooth pairing To pair the glasses with a new Bluetooth device, the glasses need to be switched off first. Then press the multi-function button continuously for 5 seconds. After 3 seconds the start-up sequence will be initiated. Continue to press the multi-function button until the “pairing in progress” sound is played and the LED starts blinking. Now select the glasses on your other Bluetooth device (e.g. smartphone) to start the connection. The blinking will stop when the glasses are correctly paired with the other Bluetooth device.

Side note: There is no ‘de-pairing’ function; you have the switch off the glasses before you can pair the glasses to a different Bluetooth device.

Side note for iPhone users: If your mobile phone was once connected with the glasses, but not the latest device for this glasses to be paired with, you have to first ‘delete’ the glasses out of your phones ‘recently used devices’ list. Now the glasses will reappear like a new device and you can correctly start the pairing process.

6.6 Turn-on and Turn-off

6.6.1 Turn-on

• The electronics is activated via the on/off push button on the right temple. One short push will initiate the startup sequence.

• The power management unit will turn on and provide the necessary voltages for the rest of the system, it will provide power on reset signals for the microcontroller/DSP.

• The microcontroller/DSP will boot and load its memory from the Flash/EEPROM. Subsequently, the microcontroller/DSP will activate the BT engine.

• If previously paired to a BT master, and this BT master is transmitting, the BT link will be re-established.

• If no automatic connection, a pairing event must be initiated. A pairing is initiated by holding the push button for 5 seconds. Pairing is acknowledged by 3 beeps in the left and right speakers.

6.6.2 Turn-off

• The electronics is de-activated via the on/off push button on the right temple. If the system is already active, one short push will initiate the turn off sequence.

• In a battery low scenario, the device will signal to the wearer that battery is low by sounding 3 beeps.

• Once the battery reaches its battery empty state, the electronics will automatically turn off.
