PSSA Open Boys Touch Football Round 5
Congratulations to the GIPS Open Boys Touch team who defeated Guyra 11-6 in a very well contested match. They demonstrated great teamwork, skills and sportsmanship and can be very proud of their efforts. Thank you to staff and students who came down to support and cheer the boys on.
Best wishes also to Carter and Howie who are attending the State PSSA Carnival this week representing the North West side.

Cooking
Our Term 3 Cooking program is well under way. Students from across the school have been given the opportunity to learn cooking techniques and skills that can be used at home.
Pictured below are students from 5/6E and 2/3S cooking quiches with a range of ingredients that include items from our school garden.
If you are unsure what to cook for dinner tonight ask your child what they have been making in their cooking class and use it as an opportunity for the children help with dinner preparations.
Positive Behaviour for Learning
Congratulations to all the students who have been successfully lining up to go home every afternoon. The way you show respect by listening to your teachers and following their instructions is improving. Thank you for walking on the paths and taking pride in safely leaving our school grounds. Our class GI Card containers were extra full this morning meaning you must be working really hard to make great choices. This week, remember...the 3:15pm bell signals home time. Please move quickly to your going home line without taking the opportunity to spend extra time with your friends. It is very important for everyone's safety that you are supervised by a teacher at your going home lines.
Proposed addition to GIPS School Uniform.
Would you like a hoodie to be included as an option for students to wear, in addition to current school uniform?
This question has been asked of our school community via our Facebook account and on our open day. We have received valuable feedback regarding the posed question.
Paper copies for voting are available in the school office if you have been unable to access our other voting methods.
