GLEN ROCK BOROUGH AWARDED DCED GRANT FOR [PROJECT2016]
Glen Rock Borough was awarded the Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program Grant from the Penn-
sylvania Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED). The Glen Rock Recreation
Board applied for the grant in June 2015 on behalf of Glen Rock Borough. The award is in the amount
of $150,510 and will be used for upgrading and expanding the community park at 5400 Fair School Rd.
Renovations will including providing ADA accessibility and the addition of a dog park.
Project 2016 is set to begin as soon as funding is released and weather permits.
This project was financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
Commonwealth Financing Authority.

off leash dog park and
support an amazing local
rescue. This event will
include a timed 5k run as well as a shorter fun run. Both can be
run with or without your pet. There will be a day of fun with
games, food, demonstrations, rescues, vendors all to benefit
both Animal Rescue Inc. and the future Glen Rock Dog Park.

maintaining and protecting the Glen Rock Park and acquiring park lands
so we may offer a wide variety of leisure and recreation opportunities to the Glen Rock Community. Recreation Board members serve staggered

Recycling collection is single stream and acceptable items include: old phone books, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, envelopes, shredded paper, newspapers, cereal boxes, cans, glass bottles and flattened cardboard. YORK COUNTY WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM
This is a program to help people who have limited income
to lower their fuel bills, save energy and have a more
comfortable home in the process. The work is done for
those eligible free of charge and no lien is filed against your home.
Both homeowners and renters are eligible to apply with the consent of
their landlord.

Summer playground program stats
The program had 41 children registered this year. There were NO cancellations due to weather. Special
weekly themes this year were: carnival, weather, sports &
environment. Many thanks to director Becky Rohrbaugh and her counselors
