Main Objects: 1.1 Promote Indian Culture and Arts and advance its awareness in

1.6 Senior citizen activities. Providing an opportunity to utilise their full potentials and passing their valuable skills and knowledge to younger generations. Enhance cultural activities.
1.7 All these will be achieved through Indian cultural activities and Food & Yoga shows, Organising festivals, seminars and get-togethers in promoting its objectives.
Organisation StructureThe Management Council is comprised of members elected at an Annual General Meeting. The Council is responsible for the legal and financial governance of the organisation and providing strategic leadership and direction. The office bearer list below shows the people on the Management Council as at 30 June 2018.

It is my great pleasure to present to you I-India Project Australia's second annual report, for the Vedic Festival Inc. financial year 2017-2018. This is a very exciting time for Vedic Festival Inc., as we are well on the way to completing our goal of providing support to the Indian communities in Sydney through Festivals and Fairs.
The Vedic Festival Inc. has been celebrating the Festival of Chariots for the past four years on a large scale in Liverpool. The Indian Festival of Chariots, is the most widely celebrated festival of the people from the Indian sub-continent and across the whole world. Though there are many mythological explanations to this wonderful festival, however, in the current world what the festival of Chariots really stands for is a reaffirmation of hope, a renewed commitment to friendship, religious tolerance, spreading the word of peace and harmony and above all, celebration of getting together.
This year the Festival of Chariots fair was held at Bigge St, Liverpool on Saturday, the 17th July 2018. The event was of a great success. According to the Liverpool Champion approximately 5000 people attended the festivities. Festival of Chariots is one of the biggest and auspicious festivals of the Indian community. This is one of the biggest gathering of people of Fiji Indian origin, together with Indians from other countries. Its history goes back thousand of years and is celebrated worldwide showcasing Indian culture and promoting religious and cultural tolerance. Everyone enjoyed the variety of cultural activities and the delicious Indian food from various regions of India. Lots of people of multi-ethnic background also come to share the richness of the Indian culture and the variety of sumptuous food items. One of the attractions of the pulling of the 8 meter high Chariot.
It is memorable for a variety of reasons including the number of participants who turned up on the day, who contributed to the success of the Festival.
Liverpool City Council and NSW Community Relations Commission were the major sponsors of the event.
On behalf of the Indian community I would like to convey our gratitude and appreciation of the assistance of Liverpool City Council and Community Relations Commission for sponsoring this years Festival.
Our loyal and hardworking Committee must be acknowledged for all the time and effort they contribute to the project each year. Finally, and most importantly, I must express how deeply grateful we are to all of our loyal supporters.
