Introduction
In Present era of internet development of humans or even a nation
is not possible without books. It logically follows that perseverance
and development of any nation or its culture is not possible
without books, and libraries. Now, when preserving culture has
become necessary, once again people have started realizing
importance of books, libraries and education libraries occupy a
very important place in society. Public libraries reform the
functions of creating values among people and other social work.
By using the libraries, a society can attain further development and
it can bring about transformations in intellectual development and
thoughts of human beings.
Importance of Library
A library is a very important aspect in the learning process of
student and human being. The extensive genre of students
literature is an essential part of the growing up process. In
case you have enough resources, it is always advisable to have
an in-house library. If you think you cannot afford a library at
home, you can always visit a public library. Most of the public
libraries are keeping with the times and equipped with
facilities like CDs and even computers.
Importance of Study
It is very important to knowing that Monroe college student
should use library or not? And when they use the library then
which way they have been use it is very important so on this
aspect this study is very important.
Selection of Subject
In the present time it is essential to study the condition and uses of the
College library in the Monroe College at Saint Lucia. For the proposed
study the topic selected for research is ‘Use and awareness of library of
the student at Monroe collage in Saint Lucia, so that one can ascertain
the role and contribution of the College student libraries and judge how
for these libraries have been useful to the society.
Objective of Study
The main objective of the study is to examine of use and
awareness of library of the students at Monroe College.
To studded the facility of the library.
Awareness of the student to use university library in various
steam.
1.6 Research methodology and data collection
In present study we use the primary and secondary data and
derive conclusions after analyzing them. Most of the information
has collected by questionnaires.
The data thus collected will be arranged in a proper tabulation and
tent forms and statistical techniques like mean, frequency
distribution, percentage, cross tabulation etc. We have applied with
the help of software’s like SPSS and Excel and meaning conclusions
has been drowned. For collecting data, sample method has been
used.
Present study i selected 50 students for the study.
Use and Awareness of the Student Library of Monroe College
Present researcher study many focus on use and awareness
of the Monroe college library. 290 students are studying in
Monroe College with master and bachelor degree.
Researcher has taken 50 respondents as random sample
from 290 populations.

Recommendations
1) Student suggest that college should provide 24 hours study facility
2) More reference book purchase for various subjects in the library
3) Increase numbers of journals in the library
4) Library needs to private reference book that is book other than text
5) Library should be quite and all workers should be more willing to assist
students
6) Cubicles must require for better self-study in the Library
7) To extend open hours of library
8) Library must be less noisy
9) Lab quality improvement and better computer system
10) Library should be open later time on weekends
